the sable conversations are absolutely adorable. her and mable have long conversations and tell you about labelle, their parents who died when they were young, how sabel raised mabel and labelle all on her own, and its really sweet. just today, sabel and mabel had a sweet conversation where sabel acknowledged that her younger sister was an adult now, and that she should be treated as such.

I like to give my villagers items that fit their personality; for example, I gave Rod a protein powder shaker bottle, and he has it on his table at home. A little thing, I know, and not a new one, but it's still nice to see.

Just too add a bit: - Balloons spawn every 5-10 minutes. Sometimes they don't spawn for 15 minutes but it's still handy to check the beach when the clock hits 5 or 10. - Balloons consistently spawn on ONE side of the island and always fly towards the other. You can check the chimney smokes for wind direction but since they all fly from the same side you should know just from spotting one. - The side they spawn flips every 12 hours. That means they fly from one side in the day and another in the night. - They spawn at the beach or off the coast so you may have to run away from the beach a little if the clock hits and they don't spawn. This mechanic helped me pop enough non-egg balloons to get all the cherry blossom DIY recipes amidst of all the egg rubbish that fills the sky.

When I first met Sable, I wanted to be friends with her, but she sounded so reluctant to talk to me. :( At first, I was worried that if I kept trying to talk to her, she'd become upset with me. But then I read that I could befriend her. Then each day I talked to her, I noticed her words slowly becoming friendlier. Then just today, she finally opened up and properly introduced herself to me. :D And Mable was like "Wait, what just happened? :O " BTW, when the store is closed, I wish I could see them outside like regular villagers, so I can chat to them and give them gifts and stuff. :3 Another thing, I initially thought villagers would get annoyed if I kept talking to them. (Maybe I got that from World of Warcraft, where NPCs start sounding annoyed if you keep clicking them.) Or when I saw 2 of them chatting, I'd think "that's nice, I'll leave them to it", not knowing it was a prompt for some fun dialogue.

The villagers do kinda get annoyed if you talk to them a lot at once (rather than upset, I think they just don't wanna talk anymore XD it's fine if you leave the area, then go back to talk to them)

A good tip to keep from being stung by wasps: Always shake trees where your back is to the camera with your net out. If a wasp nest falls out, you're have the little animation, which will make you face the nest and wasps, just mash a through it and boom, caught the wasps (this also worked in new leaf, but I feel it's smoother and more reliable in new horizons)

Seeing those dinosaurs reminded me of a nice family memory. My brother in law has a hook on his home office door, and when he hangs a bunny on it, it means be quiet he's working. It legit works too! Somehow 4 kids all shut up and stay quiet. When I asked about it, he said my nephew when he was very young would sit up against the door and wait for him to finish work, and he would "defend him" in his office, until he fell asleep one day and fell and bumped his head. So my BiL got one of his toys and said Bunny could keep watch instead. That was like 9-10 years ago and it's still a family tradition type deal. My BiL also said he absolutely never abuses the bunny system to make everyone shut up, because if he does it once, it'll never work again and he has important calls and stuff to make. I thought that was nice lol I'd throw that bunny up for naps and shit every day! But that does make sense, if they think he isn't actually working, they won't shut up when he actually needs quiet. Anyway, it's just something nice that those dinosaurs guarding his office reminded me of. My brother in law Steve is a good dude. Ima see if he wants to visit my island. Maybe.

I found this awesome one! It doesn't seem to work for everyone, but if you have yourself a nook miles ticket and want to fly, clap at the Dodo behind the counter until he blushes (it takes a few times), and the chances of you going to a special island apparently goes up. I tried it once, and landed on Tarantula Island for the first time ever! I don't know how much it ups the rate of special islands, but even if it's just a little bit, eh, doesn't hurt to do it every time!

I think this one can be a bit useful, although it hasn't helped me much yet When there are bees following you, you can run in circles and by doing that you become faster than them. If you do it too much you can even run into them from the back. I think this can be useful if you have the net ready, but you aren't in a good position to catch them, not sure though if you can catch them after running in circles

When I was playing new leaf it took me forever to get the sling shot. So what I would do to get presents was I'd have to follow it to a cliff and right before it goes over, it goes slightly lower before going up and you can smack it with a net to make it fall. When you dig up bells, bury a higher amount like 10,000 back into the hole to get 3x the bells!

@@sampascoe4387 he gets scared when you talk to him, so he get divided into 5 other small wisps who shatters away over your island. You have to catch them for him so he can return to his former self. He will then reward you with something new or something expensive! :)

One that has been making the rounds recently is that before talking to Wilbur and asking to go to a Nook Miles island, is you use the clap emote and wait for him to blush in response it has been reported (I haven’t tried it personally but there is footage) that it increases your chance somewhat of going to a rare island like tarantula, money rock or shark island. Maybe look into it if you haven’t already

You can place the music player anywhere outside on the island, and the animals will sing that tune even if they are nowhere near it. Only one song can be active outside at a time.

tip for wasps: first, five trees on your island will have wasps every day. always shake when holding the bug net. if you literally only have 1-5 trees, they will all have wasps, no money or furniture. shake the tree from the front, not the side. if a nest falls out, your character will automatically turn toward the swarm and play an animation. as soon as the animation concludes, just press A and you'll catch them every single time. you get nook miles for catching five in a row. if you do this, you'll never get stung again.

Since the Easter balloons are faster than the normal ones, sometimes the two balloons will float next to each other momentarily, and if you shoot them at the right moment you can hit both in one shot, not super exciting but still kinda cool

I find shaking trees with a net more beneficial as you can catch wasps to sell them. Also, my tip to share is to always carry a DIY workbench in your pocket to save time going to one.😉👍
