Sure the controls might not be as sharp as the gba Metroid games, but I’d argue Samus’s floatiness is a core part of super Metroid. The sprite work is still perfect and the music is amazing, this game really doesn’t need a remake and doing that would only ruin it.

You joke, but if played this game totally blind and got into the atmosphere of the game. The fact that she's kind of calmly moves around, and sometimes just stands there's scary as fuck, and you're fears are ultimately proven completely true like, 10 seconds, when she blasts you with her ultimate attack and wipes away all your missiles and power bombs. Like she's just completely toying with you, and knows you are no big threat to her. This also makes her quicker more erratic movements towards the end of the fight hit harder. She is panicking now, and has to actually try to kill you.

I love the worldbuilding around this game. For example Phantoon is allegedly an avatar of 'something else' peeking into the world. Also it is hinted that Mother Brain started acting weird the moment this derelict ship crashed. This leaves a chance that Phantoon could be the one pulling the strings.

Oh, btw theres an ez way to kill Gold Torizo. But its a bit difficult. Simply put it by one of the walls, go nearly under its leg, and crouch so you dont get hit by the swinging arms. And Gold Torizo will be finished.

My first time ever even getting to him, I almost lost the battle and actually resorted to using the grappling beam trick after he grabbed me a 2nd time and I was already low on energy lmao. I had JUST enough to take more damage during the hit as he died 😓 I still think it’s pretty badass how Samus pretty much tasered herself in order to fry him

On Botoon you should use the charge beam and jump through the half circle waves he sends your way. And for the two that do the kicks stay on the ground next to them and it will trigger the kick attack.

You need to shoot Kraid in the face with a rocket to open his mouth and damage him. 2. 6:10 Crocomire is *F A T.* 3. 7:30 Phantoon will usually only do this attack when shot with a super missile. 4. 13:17 If you stand on those two 3 by 1 block rows, one of the guards will almost always do a gold attack, allowing you to damage it. 5. Mother brain likes salmon and onion on her pizza.

Even as a kid when I first played this game, I don't think I ever took damage from Spore Spawn: you just curl up into a ball in one of the higher corners on either side and waif for it to open up. Unless you came into the room empty, or you're a terrible shot, you don't need to risk damage for ammo.

My first time fighting Ridley, I used literally of my missiles (including super) and it still wasn’t enough to kill him. I was starting to lose my footing with the screw attack and at the point he was knocking me all over the place. I just resorted to charging the plasma beam and hitting him, and I managed to clutch it and took the victory 😓

The worst detail is the fact that you can attack him once, and he still chooses not the fight you. Even after being attacked once, Crocomire still wanted to let you walk away. Keep in mind, just about every other boss in the game starts their fight in attack mode, but not Crocomire, and not only that, its the only one the expresses any kind of good will towards Samus by choosing to ignore her that one time she attacked him. Crocomire is probably one of the more intelligent, and gentlest creatures on Zebes, and the circumstances of the battle makes you kill him to get out.
