Mindy, I love the little eclectic collection of things in my cabinet - bits of Pyrex, Corning, green depression glass and stoneware mixing bowls, the kind with one blue band near the top. It’s fun to think how they have survived the many family dinners, casseroles, and cakes. You have found some lovely pieces to keep and share! Oh, and the visit to Wild Mountain was just filled with love. Ps, the drive in was fun too. Thank you! ✌️❤️🌭

Wow, I was transported back to my childhood with the green Pyrex casserole dish. My mother had a complete set of that green color. Every shape and size. Long gone now, but it was cool!!

Hi Chris, I know what you mean. I think that right now I am enjoying connecting to my childhood and adult teen years when I was first learning to cook. We had a few Pyrex dishes that I loved to use for various dishes. We would refer to them by recipe and not the dish ie: Rice Crispy sheet pan. Fun Times, Cheers!

Saturday and Sundays in the summer in Canada and Washington State were some of my best memories going to Garage Sales with my family. My first big girl bicycle was a Garage Sale thrift that my Dad restored back to almost new for me...for $5. It is in my DNA! lol! Cheers!

On that clear glass lid, try using a steel wool pad that doesn’t have any cleaners. I’ve bought them at DollarTree before. Car detailers use the steel pads on glass for cars when hard water stains won’t come off with a standard wash.
@NinthElement5 күн бұрын
If this method scratches the glass, is there a way to buff it back to shine? Thanks for this comment, it helps. Cheers!
@ARamos-ey8mn5 күн бұрын
@@NinthElement it may, but I wouldn’t know how to buff it out. I’ve used it on the front windshield of my E before.

Pat, any stain on a dish, frying pan (stainless and enamel) clothing, towels, sheets etc OXY CLEAN for the win. Cheers!
@sharlenevillnave73475 күн бұрын
could you try a magic eraser on any of these maybe? its worth a look into...the clear glass lid, how about any of those things such as something you would use to restore foggy headlights??? ever thought of some how repainting or redecorating the ones that cant be saved to use as a planter or something decorative, get crafty
@NinthElement5 күн бұрын
I LOVE where you are going with all of these ideas. If I were to only be using the piece for decoration, I agree about painting it. But here is the problem: if that painted piece goes to a new home without knowing about the paint, and they try to bake with it, that would be very toxic as well as dangerous. The planter idea is so darling, and I would LOVE to see that. Thanks for your comment, it helps. Cheers!

fun video, you are obsessed😂 I am currently obsessed with depression era vintage glass. I haunt my little communities secondhand stores about twice a week. I also live in a small space so I have to be very selective but it sure is fun to use!

Hi Denise, it is so good to see you here. Depression glass is beautiful. I once owned a blue goblet that I used in my bathroom for my jewelry. My kitty cat liked the vessel as well, and knocked it off of the counter while trying to fish sparkly jewels out of it. It did not survive the fall, luckily kitty was okay and did not cut herself. Cheers!

Im a pyrex collector from way back. Im glad to watch you use those products. I dont buy DWD pyrex UNLESS its a rare piece that I need to complete a set.The verde lid is beautiful but the bowl isnt my favourite colour. I think, but could be mistaken that the more solid cradles that you have go with corningware ? its fun to go thrifting, or as we say down here Op Shopping
@NinthElement4 сағат бұрын
Hello, thank you for letting me know about the trivets. They do say Corning-ware on them and what you say makes sense, and I have a casserole dish that will fit them. Do you know of any other techniques to remove DWF? I am happy to have you here with you vast knowledge, welcome. What is Op shopping? Cheers!

Allowance you say Mindy? I personally find that that my finds don't happen at my convenience. I just have to be ready when the opportunity avails itself. This holiday season everything I needed was all on sale at the same time. If I had spread everything out and only purchased with monthly limits, I would've paid double in the long term. Ross and Marshall have household knick knacks i like and a lot of times on sale. You have some cool shops and finds in your area. What happened with your wrench light?
@NinthElement5 күн бұрын
So I need a "found it in the wild today" allowance? That is a good plan. I do collect things throughout the year when I find them and stash the presents away for birthdays and holidays. We have Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshalls and these stores do have good deals, but FB Marketplace has even better deals. The unit on the front of Tank is a Bull Bar Fog Light assembly. I am getting all of my electrical hooked up soon. Cheers!
