Love the EL6 it is the most balanced car by NIO in my opinion.
@UshasRides10 ай бұрын
Love the el6. Took one for a test drive last weekend and also the Tesla MY LR. Aside from the luxurious fit and finish of the EL6, the other primary difference was the road noise… significantly less in the EL6 than in the MY. For those reasons I’ve decided not to go down the Tesla route for my next car … if I can get a full subscription on the EL6 then I’m going for that. (In Sweden they are offering full subscription on EL7 right now… again a fantastic car but it’s a big beast and I’m not convinced I want to fork out over 12k/month SEK for this).

This is way the German manufacturers and Ms Ursula von der Leyen are so worried about Chinese cars..
@squeegee7 Жыл бұрын
That's true, but if the Chinese subsidize their exports it's not a fair market. Even if you take into account the wage difference between VW employees and the Chinese wage, sixh gives an idea why the western brands have to save money elsewhere. It's no longer a fair game, as the technology in EVs is quite simple Compared to fossil Motors
@freddykrueger79 Жыл бұрын
@@squeegee7they are not subsidizing directly on exports... their exports prices are much higher than local Chinese sales... what they may be getting is unfair subsidies to companies, but not specifically for exports. but even European manufacturers get perks from local governments also for establishing in certain areas, for# of workers, etc...
@captainhaddock9582 Жыл бұрын
EU is right. If not for Chinese goverment sponsoring Nio wouldn't last long selling their cars at 35k loss/car. This goes for a lot of the Chinese brands. The Chinese goverment wants as many foreign companies to go bankrupt to insure total dependance on China. Luckily Putin has finally shook the EU awake that totalitarian regimes should not be trusted.
@fragu123Ай бұрын
@@squeegee7....hm, German manufacturers sell their products also a lot cheaper abroad, compared to their German prices. In China they are 30, 40% cheaper but also in the US. So we in Germany enable VW and Co. to succeed the global market based on aggressive pricing. Compared to this, I like the Chinese approach better: they sell cheap locally but increase pricing in Europe by 50%....

I have to acknowledge this car though of all the the things i would think it would need - since the germans where heavily involved in designing this car you can see if the German manufacturer would not cost cut everything little thing we would get this from the fossil in electric but yeah i wish nio all the best, i already visited the munich development centre during my university education and talked to the guys! Top notch little bit oldschool like fossil thinking but steady although battery swap will not be as widespread as in china

Something you maybe can mention in all your videos is the price and also the navigation capability. For example, does it add superchargers to your road trip automatically? Since Tesla does it so well I find it very important that you can go on road trip easily.
@nonenone775 Жыл бұрын
In China does it. It let's you choose what do you want to add on your trip map like DC chargers and battery swap stations. It will add a waypoint based on your battery level and average consuption. If you choose a certain road that doesn't have chargers or swap stations it will warn you. You can plan the whole trip both automatically and manually on the phone and just sync it with the car. Bunch of options with the navigation. 80k km in ES8, nav was always doing what was supposed to do

I don't understand what's counter-intuitive, it's the same button rotated 90 degrees, rather than press down for down you press forward, and instead of pull up you pull backwards.

Nio cars are nice, but too expensive compared to the (Chinese) competition here in the Netherlands. The Xpeng G9 beats both the EL7 and EL6 at a lower price. EL6 long range with battery purchase is just as expensive as a G9 performance with the comfort package (€77K). But the G9 gets air suspension, is bigger, more efficient, charges faster, gets a passenger screen and 4 massage seats and fully decked out in options. They get about the same range. The EL6 with battery purchase is also €77k. But the comfort pack adds €2500. Roof mounts, €443. Lounge seat, €1000. All included in the G9 price. The EL7 gets such bad range even with big battery that it's not worth comparing, and it's more expensive.

@Jajalaatmaar Жыл бұрын
The swapping is cool for sure, but that's a pretty big if. Meanwhile they're burning money on a phone. If you charge fast enough, will being able to swap in a few places really be interesting? 20 minutes every 3 and a half hours on a long drive isn't much.@@Planetside2Simon8989

G9 built quality and material are nowhere as nice as Nio. As for the design, although subjective, Nio looks way higher end than xpeng in my opinion. The difference is quite substantial when I compare them in person back to back while in china.
@Jajalaatmaar Жыл бұрын
That's just not true imo. The Autogefühl guy said it had better materials and build quality than a Mercedes EQE SUV. But to each their own, I thought the Xpeng G9 offered the most value when I compared all the cars, so I bought it. Also, if you care so much about the inside, the Xpeng G9 has a passenger screen which is nice, we use it quite a lot. What about the Nio interior beats it? @@DDGGVVMM

Please, if you could do a comparison between cars that can actually load/carry stuff not only with width/length and volym measurements in mind but actually max load in kg. Some EV cars is almost fully loaded already if they have 3-4 passengers and can't carry any extra load/luggage. So in short... please include curbweight and total weight in your spreadsheets so we can see how much max load they have. And maybe a test how much less range it has if fully loaded? Very important for us swedes that go to Germany and stock up on booze. ;)
@r09d98 Жыл бұрын
The payload in most cars is 500kg+, 650kg on the ET5 for example. You're not really hitting that with 3-4 people (one would hope). Older Teslas had a much lower limit of ~390kg, not the case here. In any case this information is easily searchable online, no need to add such details to a review video.
@hakan2812 Жыл бұрын
@@r09d98 well with that logic they dont have to say anything that we can search for ourself then do they? Will be short and boring videos. A small popup with weightinfi is all it takes. And no, manytimes the payload is not that easy to come over. I have contacted both Volvo and polestar for example. They had either no information or wrong information about curbweight and total weight. (They thanked me and have now corrected it) And in some cases as the Tesla you mentioned i discovered yould not have any extra load to speak of at all with passengers. (And a board in the cargo floor that was certified for 40kg max payload or something.
