How do you feel NIO's tech and overall software experience is compared to Xpeng and BYD? About the same? It's hard to find good modern comparisons today so any insight would be cool to know. Appreciate your detailed videos on NIO btw! Right now in US at least, tesla is supreme in that regard and noone else comes close. Waiting for the day these Chinese EVs come to North America so i can see em myself!

Hi there, in terms of tech, I believe these 2 companies are moving towards to different directions, BYD aims for becoming the new Toyota of the EV era, so they are looking at extreme cost management and rapid manufacturing, but I'd say they are pretty leggy regarding the intelligent driving part of the EVs which could be devastating in the far future, not mentioning they have a very low margin. Nevertheless, they have now over 1 million employees, namely 1 million family. It's not a just a money generating corporate anymore to the authorities. Xpeng has better controversially better intelligent driving software as per market comments, but I think they are the most chaotic with their product lines, not a very modern management portfolio. NIO is best among them, both hardware and software, and aethetics, customer service and long-term planning. Yet the knowlege barrier and higher prices are the two main dillemas for them to increase their sales volume even now they are the NO.1 in terms of premium EVs. For longer-term, I'd definitely pro NIO and that's why I bought their product. Note that all the corps are backed by local autorities, for instance, NIO - Shanghai, Xpeng - Guangzhou, BYD - Shenzhen, Xiaomi - Beijing. So these companies will not fail for sure, It's not just a complete free market competition, it's a bit internally political too.

Interesting video. In Europe we can only dream about such services... our NIO app is very basic. The cleaning guy is quite skillfull, it's not very convenient to wash a car parked in between others. Both neighboring cars got a little free wash as well ;-)

It'll be a matter of cost in terms of on-door service, I think NIO will find a way to accomplish that when the user volume good enough. I am a bit curious about this NIO app in EU 😄
