There was 2 Strats with slanted Humbuckers on the bridge touring the US doing Punk Rock in 1990, this K guitar and Billie Joe Armstrong's "Blue" Fernandes Stratocaster, with in certain point in time had the same Pickup. But from 95 onwards was allways with JB SH-4

Have you tried using the front end/pre amp section of your twin with the power section of the Randall?? You would need a load box or simple load resistor to protect the the power section of the twin, but you'd get a lot of the push and fast transients from a solid state power amp like Kurt used.

Thank you! So my initial plan was to get all the Nirvana Hot Rail tones I could get out my VMA build and then convert it to a K Strat. But I fell too much in love with the VMA strat 😅 Couldn't bring myself to take the hot rail out, so this one is a completely new guitar all together

Nobody plays the chorus right, but you did. Adding the D bar chord in there is vital to it sounding right.

@@NirvanaGuitars I think a ton of us Nirvana fans all have played in wrong for awhile prolly! Especially back then because we didn’t have KZbin and everything to just learn a song. Everything was by ear. I’ve been learning Nirvana songs since I was 13. I’m 38 now. Lol Aneurysm was one of the first songs my punk band covered when I was about 17. I think we didn’t do the guitars right on the chorus, but at least our bassist had all of Novoselic’s bass parts dead on so and the drums were right so it still sounded pretty close! I play in a Nirvana cover band now and I been listening to these songs for so long so I better have all the little subtle things Kurt did. Ppl think his guitar playing was simple but have no clue how much detail there is on a lot of these songs. Even understanding something that “sounds” simple like “Dumb” and if you don’t do an upstroke on the picking it doesn’t sound quite right. Same thing on Lithium. That upstroke with the pick has to be there! Anyways! Love your vids man and totally think your Kurt guitars are sick. I have the road worn Jag, And the “Live and Loud” Mustang! I need more tho! Lol especially a Univox and the Vandalism Strat!

as someone who has the katana i highly advice you to download patches that makes your katana sound like a fender twin and a vox ac 30 for the cleans of nevermind and some other songs of Nirvana. do you have a cable for connectiing your phone and play music on the katana? you meed to make your own tone settings and listen to it again and again. i had a really close tone to slts, it was so amazing, especially the solo, not only i made the same tone but i made the exat feedback, i couldn't believe it

Hope it was worth the wait 😃 Kurt's comp stang was stock on the Nevermind tour, both the neck and bridge pickups. But I made my Nevermind Tour Tone video before I knew that, and in that video I had hot rails in my comp stang and I feel like I still got pretty close. So yes I think those will work great for nevermind tour tone!
