Raw, short, melodic. You can't ask more. I was headbanging with this 30 years ago, still doing the same right now in my home. What a gem.

Nirvana is the best band of my lifetime and right up there with the Led Zeppelin's and Jimi Hendrix's in my humble opinion. Definitely different types of music but all equally Immortal :)
@chrismls209 жыл бұрын
doesn't matter if they had the skill, or the technical ability or whatever. kurt is the best lyricist ever IN MY OPINION, and just cos jimmy page can solo better than kurt, and they write technically better songs etc, doesn't mean nirvana aren't up to their level in terms of overall love for a band! same goes for any band. imo nirvana are the greatest band of all time, and they have inspired and influenced so many people since their time and still to this day.
@PiperTMTotalWar9 жыл бұрын
Chris Mills also you have to remember when nirvana broke through, during the early 90's. They created a whole new genre of music! For me they are one of the greatest bands of all time.
@chrismls209 жыл бұрын
no, they didn't create a new genre at all. they only made it more popular i guess, there were plenty of punk rock / grunge bands before nirvana, which were their influences. still, for me greatest band of all time is nirvana.

+Dwight Schrute Jimmy Page wasn't that technically proficient. He was a really sloppy guitar player, actually. And Pink Floyd weren't super-great musicians, save for David Gilmour, but they made pretty good music during the same time period as Zeppelin & Hendrix. If technical proficiency were the mark of great music, the Dave Matthews Band would have been the bane of 90s music. Van Halen would be 1000x greater than The Ramones, Black Flag, or Joy Division. As it was, early 90s bands such as Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Rage Against the Machine were pretty skilled in terms of musicianship.

Parts of it were originally aired whenever. I could swear I remember seeing Territorial Pissings with that stage/crowd set up a few times when Nirvana were blowing up. I especially remember Kris's "C'mon Everybody..." intro, and I don't recall an there being an official video for that song. I think MTV aired part of it and/or made a few videos out of it, then finally aired the whole thing years later. That logo is MTV 2, which showed a lot of stuff like this from the MTV vaults.
