Listening to this makes me so gutted there isn’t a better quality video/music track of this version. By far the most daunting yet powerful version. The guitar solo is legendary, it almost feels like he was saving it for a better song 😕 the most underrated Nirvana song in my opinion

OMG, you guys are right, this slower version is awesome. I actually saw them on Halloween night at the JH Rhodes Arena in Akron in '93. Kurt came out in a Barney costume...I loved it....Kurt forever!

This reminded me why I liked Nirvana so much when I was younger. Depression at it's state of perfection. You can't be happy and enjoy this... It's like pouring gasoline on fire. I wouldn't recommend Nirvana to anyone and at the same time I can't imagine my life without it. I do not even know why am I writing this... Who needs reasons when you've got heroine?

These songs he writes have so much power. All Apologies got me over the fear of being yelled at by people constantly. Now I just listen to that in my head and laugh at them. His lyrics are so powerful especially in this song and all of his other non-publicly known stuff. Not saying this song is off a completely rare demo, but not the stuff like smells like teen spirit. God I wish a band as powerful as this will come along soon.

@c3789 More importantly, Nirvana was a tight sounding band. Dave Grohl was a powerhouse and Nirvana was all about dynamic. And Noveselic was a bassist who just added to the sound. Honestly, the only disrespect I've ever seen Cobain get is for his guitar playing which is just made by self important people who happen to realize a lot of music is comprised of simple power chords. BUT from a song writer and melody writer point of view...I don't see too many people disrespect him or the band.
