I have had Grammarly Pro for years and use it daily for work. It is excellent, but with flaws that have been around since it started and which the company has never resolved. The primary one is that it constantly defaults to, and only seems to understand, US, rather than UK grammar. This is exacerbated by the fact that it does this a large part of the time but not all. It also sometimes counteracts its own settings, for example use of the serial comma. I think it's great overall but I wouldn't want to promote it.

meh...not buying this - Potential for Burnout By encouraging people to push through tiredness and continue being productive even when exhausted, this approach might lead to burnout or ignoring legitimate needs for rest and recovery. Not every moment needs to be optimized for productivity. - One-Size-Fits-All Limitations The strategies assume everyone has similar circadian rhythms (morning productivity) and life circumstances. This might not work for night owls, parents with young children, or people working non-traditional schedules. - Over-Optimization Can Reduce Joy Breaking everything down into "fundamental, fun, and future" categories risks turning life into an optimization exercise. Sometimes the most valuable experiences come from unstructured, unoptimized time. - Social Impact Going straight to productive activities after work might strain relationships if it means consistently missing informal social interactions with colleagues or family dinners. The approach could lead to social isolation in pursuit of productivity. = Privilege Assumptions Many of these strategies assume a level of control over one's schedule and resources that not everyone has. For someone working multiple jobs or caring for family members, the ability to "just go to a cafe" after work or spend Sundays meal prepping might not be realistic.

One of the best tips: Put your phone in another room and work on your dream/hustle. The amount of times I think I’m going to check my phone for a quick distraction, or to actually look for something specific, only to find myself scrolling one hour later. Our phones are our biggest time wasters.

If you are tired, you should rest. When your body speaks to you in that way, you listen to it. This is why so many people present to the ER with all those events. You have one life. You have to pace yourself. Your health is your wealth indeed. If you have no health or poor health, you are forced to stop and solely focus on that. Preserve your health. That's the most important thing and overworking does not help that cause at all.

Ever heard of the book Comfort Crisis, Michael Easter - Powerful text. In high school I didn’t get to skip basketball practice because I was tired from studying or had a cold. Do it anyway. You’ll be surprised how resilient and strong you actually are without an easy out. There’s a time and place for rest and self care. If it’s daily, chronic it’s a sign something in your life is out of balance.

I think that's a routine kids pick up early in their life in an environment where you cannot ignore the chores like, e.g. the farm. The cow needs to be milked, no matter if are in the mood for it or not because we had a bad day. Our urban lives are full of conveniences that allow us to be "not in the mood" for doing something we should. I guess most of us lack this growing up in an environment with nonavoidable chores, and no excuses. And most of us miss it even though we are not aware of that.

Some good tips, but ultimately this is promoting a hustle and grind culture, there is really nothing wrong with scrolling on the sofa or binging Netflix, maybe not everyday but we need to normalise that we don’t need to be perfect everyday, maximising every minute of your time, hitting gym, working on side hustles etc, that’s not healthy either
@jaevisualsАй бұрын
I don't believe it's promoting a hustle and grind culture in any way... if there's something you truly want to accomplish yet have limited time due to your 9-5 then these were really good tips. Of course resting and refuelling is important but to say all this is promoting hustle and grind culture, well then how else do you suggest one with a typical 9-5 can reclaim their time to do something worthwhile? And mindless doom scrolling and watching Netflix will never improve anyone's life.

Fatigue is the body’s way of telling us to rest. Resting, is doing something. Continuing to exert the body and mind when it needs rest, comes at a price. We need to stop seeing rest as ‘doing nothing’ when we’re actually doing something important for our health and well being.

i think the issue here is that we turn to watching tv or scrolling on our phone when we feel we need to rest, but those things actually don’t allow us to rest, they require a lot of mental stimulation and then mess out how dopamine is regulated in our brains which can lead to anxiety, depression, insomnia and more

What I have been doing for the last 2 weeks and it works really well for me - get up at 7 AM, go for morning run (1 km run + 2.5 km walk). back home - take a cold shower and I am in my office at 8:30 AM. I spend first 30 minutes reviewing yesterday and also planning ahead for the day. I allocated 9-11 AM to work on growing my business. Then, I get my breakfast between 11-12. From 12-2 pm I have my first block on client fulfilment and then 2:3:30 my workout / dance practice. 3:30 - 5:30 dedicated for the second block of client work. 5:30 - I am usually free. Yeah, I work 6 hours in a day and get done so much more. What I love most about it - 2 hours dedicated to growing business in the morning. If I left it for the last block then I would be distracted by friend plans, family plans, going out, etc ... sure I could have 3rd block for client fulfilment but I don't need it at the moment as I complete everything I need within 4 hours a day.

What most of them probably defend is that it is total fine to scroll for hours or to binge watch TV. But no life or strong healthy society will ever get better through this. This kind of behaviour is really toxic for the average person. Your life get's often worse through this. You start to feel empty and sad but it's a highly addictive thing. This video really hits home-so many of us fall into the trap of letting evenings slip away, but the solutions you shared feel incredibly actionable. I love the idea of separating actions from mood; it’s such a powerful shift to realize that you can still take steps forward even when you’re tired or stressed. That "do it tired anyway" mindset really reframes how we approach evenings, especially after long workdays. The "life math" concept is a game-changer too. Breaking down time into fundamentals, fun, and future is such a clear way to visualize where your energy is going. Bulk organizing on Sundays is something I’ve done before, but the way you tied it to reclaiming hours during the week made me realize how much more intentional I could be with this habit. Changing your "first destination" is such a simple but effective hack. The couch magnetism is real, and the idea of redirecting yourself before you even get home is such a clever workaround. I also hadn’t thought about morning hours being more valuable, but when you compare the distractions of evening vs. early mornings, it makes perfect sense. Finally, the emphasis on respecting your foundation is such an important reminder. We can’t expect to be productive or motivated if we’re running on empty. Sleep, exercise, and proper nutrition aren’t just “extras”-they’re non-negotiables if we want to show up for ourselves and our goals. Thanks for sharing such practical and relatable strategies!

Time management is amazing!! We all most learn time master time management.. not just side hustle individuals. Parents, children, and Gen-X people responsible of caring for children and aging parents 🙏💔

Its almost like some people lack comprehension skills and argue for the sake of it. Its easy to make excuses, harder to do what's necessary. This is a good video, thanks!

Great info insight and reminders too. Time flies and before you know it your intentions have gone out the window because you say you will start tomorrow and not doing it in the present moment.

Thank you Nischa. Thought provoking. I don't fit your model. 70 radical start up. It's dark. About to cycle to Bushy Parkrun. So I look after myself. My life is all fundamentals and future. No fun. Interesting about separation of emotions. My observation is that sitting at a laptop may not be the best way to address the future. Free yourself to think. I find cycling does this for me. Cool!

Usefully spend 10 minutes; thanks Nischa! Though I think point 1 can be pretty disputable, I am all for points 2, 4, and 5, and let's see what happens in a couple of weeks...

Hi Nischa, thanks for the info ...really gained some new insights. I have to say though, that 'best hours' doesn't have to be the early hours. For me personally, I'm more productive and way more creative in the (late) evening. Yes, more tired than in the morning of course ..but for some reason, I'm more productive and get more done. So perhaps, you could point out that mornings aren''t always better than evenings, I think it depends on the person and how that person is wired ;) And maybe important to do all this only a few days a week, because I think one should also be able to chill and Netflix for a evening..or scroll socials. Otherwise, you'll be 'working' and pressuring yourself all day every day. And also, not sure if you have kids, this could be totally different for a parent (for me this totally is the case). So maybe adjust it a bit so it would be more realistic for parents too? Again thanks, gonna check your channel ;) Keep it up Nischa

Good advice for people working on a side hustle after a day at their main job. I definitely fall into the "I'm tired so I'm not working / trying tonight" bracket.

You must have had some really great role models to be so together at such a young age. Your videos always impress me.

Sometimes after a long day at work you need to unwind and destress, it’s better to do something more unwinding in my opinion, like reading a book or taking a bath. Definitely scrolling on social media is a bad way spend time after work, but being unproductive is actually so productive for your overall health and wellbeing. It’s all about choosing healthy ways to unwind in my opinion.

Good vid, I'll defo be taking the tips on doing things tired, using your morning hours and changing your default settings. Small presentation aspect to point out. There's a spelling mistake of "possible" at @8:53. Not to be meticulous or negatively nit-picky, just highlighting a way to improve. Otherwise, really clean graphics and animations (the breaking chain of actions and mood, really drive the point home)

I loved the idea of the environment change and how this impacts our mood and actions. However, this is easy to do when you work outside your house... Do you have a suggestion for people that work from home and that sometimes the bedroom is the same space as the worspace? Loved the channel ❣

I'm working on making better use of my evenings... When I think about how much I can get done if I just use my evenings to be productive rather than just watch tv I can see how much growth I'd experience in a short amount of time.

One silly question tho - if I tell myself that let me push through my week by telling myself that I will relax over the weekend and then if am meal prepping over the weekend, when am i going to relax at all ? Like Xmas holidays ? I really understand that I am not productive much in the evenings, and I also push myself sometimes, but I do want to relax sometimes :( but can’t find solutions and I did end up finding this video but then ended up with more questions. Thank you very much tho… definitely a useful video to think about .. good take aways ..
