Nishikigoi!! The Swimming Jewel. So beautiful!!

In this tutorial I am making a koi fish pond bowl, using Lets Resin casting resin and polyurethane for the bowl. and adding some Lets Resin aqua/carnelian alcohol inks for the water color. Then I hand made the Lilly pad with the Lightwish green UV resin. I made a lotus flower with the Into Resin mold and coloring it with Lets Resin alcohol inks raspberry and dandelion. I added glow rocks to the bottom with some fake rock structures and some real rock, and some Koi fish.#resin #resinart

Info only. I do small jewelry size. I made a green dot for Lilly pad. Then I put a small dried flowers for the Lilly pat I made a bunch of them so I could put them in a real lily pad grouping. Love Koi fish any way they come. I also love your project. Good job. 😊

I love that mold. I made four themed spring, summer, fall and winter to have on my hallway table. One tip when making ponds - use a darker blue in the first layer then you can use clear resin in the rest of the layers

And the extra turtle… IMO, he is a bit big for the setting, but I think adding a smaller one would just finish it off! Looking forward to seeing Riley do some creating with you… and I second Helen Hywater’s suggestion of a just-for-fun competition pour! I really like it. Id like to see it with a clearish top to the bowl instead of the white. Even a small lip or smaller gold line? That way you know it's a bowl still but you can see the sides and look in like a fishbowl.

Love the concept. Good execution. You lost me with Lilly pad colors and size. Also, I would have used a much smaller flower. Please don't add a sea turtle to a fresh water pond. I would have added a turtle to the Lilly pad next to a much smaller 🪷 and a bit bigger Lilly pad. Over all it is a job well done.

Thank you Debora. Let me explain my process on the flower and lilly pad. I am an affiliate for Into Resin which is who makes the flower mold, so that's why it was used in this project. On the lilly pad, its green is that not correct? I made it that size for scale of the flower. The turtle was an after thought I didn't have any frogs.

Lynne, You probably could yes, as long its not to hot out and probably not direct sunlight, as you know that would make the resin soft.
