Nissan 370Z Nismo 6 Month Ownership Review: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

We have officially owned the 2016 Nissan 370Z Nismo for 6 months now and it has certainly been amazing.
6 months ago I sold my Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T for this 370Z Nismo and haven't regretted this decision since then. I was bored of the Genesis and wanted to upgrade to a GT-R, however, it wouldn't have been the smartest financial decision. When this Nismo came up, it was perfect! The GTR dreams haven't died yet, but until then, this will do just fine :)

I bought my first 2016 in 2015 my 2nd in 2018 in 2017 Nismo no regrets love them all I had the tech package so I had a full infotainment rear back up camera on both cars Manual transmission always and my 2016 Nismo Z had the trunk issues. Enjoy I can’t wait for it to stop snowing as my sleeps in the winter

I bought a brand new BRZ and regretted it so much just because how slow it is and slow realized how abismal the tuning potential is for it. Selling it and buying a used 370z nismo just needed more research to cement my decision. The BRZ is a fun beginner car but gets boring really fast once you start wanting more out of your car.

I feel like the main thing that makes these feel outdated is the infotainment. But if you put in a high quality after market head unit and back up camera (similar to how you did) then honestly hit becomes much more livable! I could deal with the orange lights, but I wouldn’t be able to deal with the one head units lol. Nice car man!

You seem like a cool guy and I'll subscribe after this comment, but why would you delete the sick looking dual exhaust pipes for some big single tip that doesn't even line up? Sorry to sound like a jerk... I didn't give your video a dislike or anything... I was just shocked to see this. Especially on the Nismo 370Z. The 370Z Nismo has an awesome true dual exhaust with an H-Pipe, unlike the regular 370Z that splits into a y-pipe up front. I wouldn't care if the single exhaust saved over 50 lbs and made even more power than the true dual lol, I could never delete part of one of my favorite features of the exterior. I love split dual exhaust obviously lol... Especially when it's a true dual like this one. To each his own though. I love the rest of your 370Z man! What an awesome machine this is!

Damn I guess I'm the only that actually likes the reflector on the bumper without the brake light mod. Especially on the 09-12 models where it's blacked out. Looks so much better in my opinion.

I have a 2019 all-black 370Z sport coupe 6M with about 19K miles on it and I daily drive mine too. I used to own a Porsche and and a couple of vintage English sports cars, MGB & Austin Healey, and my Z is the most fun to drive. I had a 3-stage paint correction done on it with a professional ceramic coating, which gives the paint a very deep wet gloss all the time that often turns heads. If the interior is outdated that's fine, I spend my time driving and not fiddling knobs and high-tech gadgets.

The fact it’s outdated and very analog makes it a reliable and true sports car. In the age of electric steering, suspension, brakes, transmission, cars are starting to lose the feel of what driving a sports car was meant to be.

Nice to see someone else owning a silver 370Z Nismo as well, most of them are either black or white. The single exit exhaust somehow doesn´t look as good as a double exit aftermarket exhaust. Of course not the Nismo one, it´s too short for the enlarged rear bumper..

I would wait for at least another year before committing on a C8, to make sure that there are no quality issues with the car and that GM will stand behind it if you run into problems. GM's quality control isn't what it used to be and so I would be very careful in spending big money on any American-made car.

The tech of 2020 cars are going to feel really old and horrible in 10 years. The interior of the 370z will feel exactly the same. It does exactly what you need it to do and nothing more. Also real analog gauges are way better than lcd screens.

I've had a 72 240z in my household, and myself have owned a 80 280zx and 90 300zx NA with t tops, both 2 seaters. The 370z is a natural progression for me. The 280 was 15 years old when I bought it and the 300 was 25 years old. So a 2 to 3 year old 370z would be an absolute dream for me. Outdated?!? S@#$, not for me. Slow?!? After the 280zx and 300...yeah right lol. 370z, to me has the modern looks and speed I'm looking for, 3rd times the charm I think.
