Add one more happy camper, thank you for the awesome video! Amazing, clear, detailed instructions. Unfortunately I was doing this in MN in December on a cold, wet, slushy car,. Yuck. @MAD PEOPLE THINGz one year ago, I took said 2013 Nissan Altima to the dealership service department and they said that my spark plugs needed to be change...tune up of sorts. Well, they said it would cost $400 !!! They told me they were gonna put in Platinum plugs. These people must be nuts! I told them it would take less than 30 mins to do the job so Labor should be low. Noooo....after they install the plugs, they hook a computer up to the OBD2 port and make calibrations as they drive it around. These people do no give up trying to take my money. I left the dealership and a couple of days later, sold my money-pit of a car. Worst car ever!! Thanks God for all the DIY stuff on KZbin!! Thanks guys! You save US a lot of money.

Great video. 2022 cars are now being sold with LED lights on the vehicle, so any prohibition on the use of these lights must not be a problem now. I'm driving a 2022 Tuscon, and it comes with LED lights on it. However, my 2014 Altima could surely use this upgrade.
@brianbaker3593 жыл бұрын
Like most Altimas of this vintage my low beam headlights have terrible light output due to the progressive deterioration of the reflector material and which was subject of a successful Class Action Lawsuit in TN. Do these LED lights still require the capability of a fully functioning reflector to operate at full capacity or are they independent of reflector and project light differently? Obviously I am trying to avoid changing out both complete headlight assemblies and just replace with LED bulb. In addition, I have factory fog lights which I was thinking I should use at night to supplement the existing poor performing headlights. Would these LED lights suit that purpose as well?

Thank you for the information, I'd like to add for those who are looking on how to aim the lights. First the low and high beams will move at the same time, to get a good height on your low beams will move the high beams extremely high I compensated this by leave them a little lower and raised the fog lights to help. Second, there is a way to access the adjustment from up on top in the engine compartment but a long thin flat screwdriver will be required to move the adjustment on the dented outside of the screw but seems so difficult the will be as much time consuming as removing the tire.

There are many factors and many upgrades to headlight housings over the years that help mitigate any glare to oncoming drivers. It is more or less the color of the light which causes distraction and not the actual brightness intensity itself. If you notice, the most distracting lights to see on the road are the blue HID lights which cause a lot of glare for the human eye, whereas you probably never noticed the 6000K lights on the road because they are more natural to the human eye.

Pretty sure you need a projector headlight housing in order to run LEDs for headlights
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
That is not correct, as all of our LED kits are designed for your stock halogen housing. If you are referring to projecting glare, there are many factors and many upgrades to headlight housings over the years that help mitigate any glare to oncoming drivers. It is more or less the color of the light which causes distraction and not the actual brightness intensity itself. If you notice, the most distracting lights to see on the road are the blue HID lights which cause a lot of glare for the human eye, whereas you probably never noticed the 6000K or 8000K lights on the road because they are more natural to the human eye.

You can put the same bulbs in fog lights
@PrecisionLED5 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is correct, both the fogs and low beams use the H11 fitment, so you can install the same H11 headlight kit on both lights. You would just want to be sure to adjust the quantity of the package to 2.

Will it be too much if I switch both headlights and fog lights to LED?.... Ahh I hope I will be able to do it myself if I dont have to take the wheel out
@resonate60678 жыл бұрын
Also for the fog light LED link down below, what is the difference between those two colors?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your interest. As long as your vehicle's battery is performing up to standards, no, it would not be too much to install both headlamp and fog light LEDs on your vehicle. We have many customers do this everyday.

It is ultimately personal preference. The 6000K projects a warmer white color, which the 8000K projects a cooler white (the slightest hint of blue). You can find color charts directly on our website, precisionLED.com.

Any help with a 2010 Altima ?
@PrecisionLED7 жыл бұрын
The installation process would be very similar, if not identical to as shown in this video. All of the halogen bulbs are very easy to access with our trim tool kit.

Yes, we only sell our headlamp kits in the 6000K color temperature, as it is the brightest, with the best nighttime driving visibility.

I came here because fuck these big new trucks on the road today who blind you from a 100 yards. It's pay back time, it's bad when you have to slow down from 75mph to 40mph because you can see the road. I drive a lot, this is a must for me.
