You were supposed to lift the black tabs on the orange and yellow connectors. They are locking tabs. They don't melt when the airbag deploys

these types of steering locks create a lot of people stuck . thankfully these are straightforward to spot and the revised part is not very overpriced . There is a do it yourself on it over at my channel as well .

Oh my goodness you did this without having the battery disconnected. I noticed this when I saw lights on the display. And you always replace the entire wire when dealing with the airbag. And you didn't show a check to verify that the airbag was working. And you was working in front of the airbag.

daniel dwyane I had to replace it because it store the code permanently but there might be some where you can take the computer to get it flash

On my 14 Sentra, I could push on the metal clip but I cannot get the airbag to release. I can feel the clip being squeezed but the airbag won't come out.

Same with my 2017 nissan altima. I push both the metal clips but it wont come off

@@Rawbuterbrod I ended up taking a flathead screwdriver and cutting out an indentation in it to allow me to move the pin in and also to the side and that worked. The trick is not just pushing the pin in but also moving it out and away. I also ended up popping the other side back in and then working on the difficult side. Takes time and patience.

@@Rawbuterbrod I had my friend sit in the seat while I pushed both pins in at once, and they pulled. It came out after that. Sometimes the pins just can’t be pushed one at a time

No i didn't replace the front impact sensors because the computer did say that they were bad, i didn't disconnect the battery but i recommend that you unplug the battery when working on your air bag system, i replace them because the connectors broke

Can I upgrade the steering wheel of a 2015 Nissan Qashqai (same steering wheel as in the video) into a newer (2017, 2018) Nissan Qashqai flat bottom steering wheel? They installed the steering wheel with the wheel turn or they installed the steering wheel without making sure they center it

You have to park the car make sure the wheels are straight then remove the steering wheel like in the video and then make sure you place the steeing wheel in the position it would be when the wheels are straight then put it on and tighten the bolts
