2 13mm bolts. Best to remove airbag completely out of dash. 4 phillip head screws across top and 2/3 at bottom very difficult to reach. Short screw driver recommended. Dash pops out afterwards

I need to do this on my car but why not just cut the whole top part where the airbag went through? Its trash anyway. So you can reach easily

That's a 2016 Altima! But the removal process should be the same.

How did you reach the Phillips screws in the top of the cover releasing it from the dash?

the easiest way is to buy a wrench screwdriver they are $4 at HF or Lowes. remove the molding for the Ac there is one right next to it but once u remove the molding you can see and get it from there, u unhook the bag and you are able to pushit back a little the screw wrench will fit in easy. Good luck

I owned 2016 altima. I HAVE CHANGED TRANSMISSION TWICE, I HAVE A/C ISSUE, AIRBAG LIGHT ISSUE, SPEAKER ISSUE, BACKUP CAMEARA ISSUE. DO NOT BUY ANY NISSAN CARS PEOPLE. PLEASE BE AWARE OF NISSAN. NO MORE RELIABLE CAR AT ALL.
