Those Armadas in general truly pack a punch when it comes to off road. It’s the Nissan Patrol which is Nissan’s competitor to the Toyota Land Cruiser. Now sure the American spec Armada has been tuned more for on road comfort over the global Patrol’s off road prowess, but it’s still quite capable and with mods like what you’ve done you’ve got a mighty SUV that goes toe to toe with the Land Cruiser

Absolutely agree, I do appreciate how well it handles on road as it reminds me of my 350Z but let’s face it a 4WD suv needs to do the same in the dirt. We are just happy we finally got it sorted and performing amazing!

I’m still confused as to how you solved the negative rear camber issue caused by the OEM rear lower control arms (coil) being slightly too short. The OEM arms are approximately 19” eyelet to eyelet, whereas they need to be about 19 1/2” to allow for that proper camber alignment. It would be great to hear the answer.

Negative camber is not the issue. Raising the ride height through the suspension produces positive camber and thus requires a shorter upper control arm (available at garage23.net)I think you may be referring to the spring bucket, which controls toe adjustment. Lengthening this primarily allows for increased toe-in adjustment.

Well, I have a 3” lifted Armada that does have a positive camber as you said (top of tires tilted outboard slightly). But the answer to that cannot be shorter lower control arms as that would make the tires even that much more positive (too if tire tilting outboard). Regardless, I think I’ve found a company that has the control arms needed to correct the issue

It’s not the lower control arm that needs to be shortened, it’s the UPPER control arm, which is what we make and this corrects the positive camber.

Definitely on the agenda but it’s just so damn hot right now 🫠 I’ve also been wanting to throw 37s on but I’m pretty sure the fenders will get smashed 😅 the 35s already rub slightly.

@@Garage23 I have done king 2.5 lift front about 2 to 2.5 inches , rear spring 1.5 inch iron man no rubbing at all on 35s , just need to pull back the plastic cover of the wheel wells back a little with a zipper to hold it in place. Also I have fitted 37s the don’t rub under city driving but any sort of off-road your rubbing bad. I think all it’s need about 1.5 to 2 inches more to be able to make 37s cycle through without rubbing over what I have now. As far as 37s I have seen Australia done it but don’t like the approach, the modified lower shock points ( rise them 2 inches ) and billet diff drop ( which I don’t mind ). Rear 1.5 block spacers and billet diff drop of 40mm I think. After reading the reviews you lose on down travel , suv start to lift wheel ⬆️ and the rear feel disconnected of what the rest of suv is doing. Am looking at your work , cjd racing and OnTrack4x4 from Australia. All of which been serving the community to their best ability

I was looking to turn my 2017 Nissan Armada intern off-roader I've seen many Australian videos how much does this cost as a build

The 4WD models are very capable out of the box so the basics are just 35”s a suspension lift and control arms which on the cheaper end will set you back around 3500$

Believe it or not Nissan didn’t change anything suspension design related on armadas until this years 2025 model. So they will fit all Armada and Q suvs

All armadas have the same suspension, 2004-2024 very minor differences

I think it’s worth it just based on how unique it is, the fact that it turned out to be phenomenal off road was a a big bonus 😅

A leveling kit is usually just spacers for the front coils so depending on how big you go it will affect your alignment but an average shop shouldn’t have trouble dealing with it.

I was a Nissan Patrol fan , but in North America that does not exists. Nissan is struggling to survive in North America , gave up Titan truck but I think Armada would survive
