For some reason, we never got the Nissan Cedric in North America, at least I've never seen one. We've gotten many cars over the years, although some were rebadged as Datsuns and given different names according to market.

Nissan designed it to be for american taste, so its quite funny that they only sold it in japan and europe, in central europe this model(Y30) was known also 300c. As you can se in the description, its 2.8litre diesel, almost the best familycar diesel of the 20th century. Durable and quite economical, this engine had 705000km when I pulled it out of the video car, and put it to less rusty one, now it got about 730000km, and without any extra noises or services.

It also had 2.8litre injected gasoline engine if someone liked that, but here in finland probably 9/10 was diesels. And most of them automatics, now days most automatics have gone for part donors for example dielseling Chevy Astro or something else. So now days when you see these they are probably manuals, if they are on the road. My new cedric was originally automatic, but it came rolling for me so i swapped the enginen and manual gearbox from this to it.

Ei, Laurelissa on RD28 jätealumiini jätemoottori. Tämä on koko valurautanen IKUINEN mahtimoottori LD28

Datsun laurellissa on valurautainen ld28 mahtimoottori. mutta ei sekään ikuinen oo. omasta 545tkm ajetusta käytettiin kansi pajalla ja laitto imuventtiilit uusiksi. Sitte c32 joka on jo nissan nii siinä on rd28 joka on myös erittäin kestävä kone ei tosin niin kestävä kuin ld.
