That's a really good looking heavy duty bumper you are a master at metal fabrication

Really cool. I told my wife I wish I could weld. She looked at me like I had 2 heads and asked why. I said I want to make a bumper for my truck. She shook her head and walked away.

Very neat job. I have done metal fab for years, don't have the ability to do CAD nor do I have a plasma table. Just plasma cutter and all the hand tools. I am in the process of building a bumper for a '19 Frontier now. Ironically it will be very similar to the construction you used. Again I applaud you on a job very well done.

Very nice. I’ve been scratching my head for several years on how to stealth build a proper stealth winch mount for my 2014 Xterra. I fabbed up a “ hidden hitch mount” I can my winch front or rear when needed. Or any other vehicles with a hitch receiver. Edit, Oh, If you wanna build another let me know. I’m in.😉

I have the ARB bumper on my Frontier, wish it was more low profile like the one you built. Great job, looks awesome!

That looks sweet! Would love one on my frontier great job man!

Would you ever consider building another one to sell? I love the way it turned out and would pull my Costal bumper off.
@wh87794 жыл бұрын
You should patent that bumper and start a business. That looks great, only thing I'd do different is use a matte black or even body color. You could sell that system for about 1500.00

It's almost impossible to find off road winch bumpers for frontiers.
@MattVerley4 жыл бұрын
options are definitely limited; I found a handful of businesses that offered front bumpers for the frontier in the $1200-$1800 range, and MOVE bumpers has a weld-it-yourself kit but I agree. Many of the "big guys" like Warn, ARB, etc. don't have offerings for this truck. That's ultimately why I decided to build my own bumper. But...turning a one-off design into production would be a lot of work! I did save all of the CAD parts so I can build a duplicate for my other Frontier, but I don't really have the desire to turn this into kit form (or build them in bulk).

Matt, Would you be willing to share the files for the mount your laser cut to go to the frame? Trying to fab something myself but not dis assemble everything first and then make it and then take it all apart later. Would you be willing to share?
@MattVerley2 жыл бұрын
Sure, I can send them to you. Are you a facebook user? Look me up there and send me a message, I will send you all of my DXF's and cut files.
@Krashota3 жыл бұрын
Any chance you would post the files for this on Langmuir's Fireshare or sell the files? I have a pro table and would love to cut and build this for my frontier.
@MattVerley3 жыл бұрын
I will send them to you if you really want them...I drew them up as (about) 20 separate drawings. I made slight changes to the pieces after I cut them out. I had intended to make the adjustments in CAD and put together a complete cut package, but I haven't done that yet. So, you would be getting a slightly incomplete group of files that may not quite make sense for assembly...
@Krashota3 жыл бұрын
@@MattVerley that'd be great! I don't mind making slight adjustments. They'll put me way ahead than starting from scratch. I like the design too. What would be the best way to contact you to work on getting the files?

@@Krashota send me a message through my website www.timberdrone.com I'd rather not share my email address here...it's relatively spam-free at the moment :)

@@MattVerley did you get the message I sent through your website? No rush on the drawings, just wanted to make sure you got it.
