Loving the new content as well as having enjoyed all your incredibly skilled past videos. I, too, am on an EV journey in the UK, having covered 1000 miles in my Renault Zoe ZE50 in the last two weeks. There's a different way to plan your life, for sure, but it's definitely not inconvenient. I enjoy feeling less fatigued on the latter half of long journeys after a proper 35 minute break, whereas before I'd have just forced myself to carry on at the possible expense of alertness!

I like the Zoe! I hope they sell it here one day.

I appreciate you making this. I’m taking my first road trip. It’s 243 miles so I figured I would stop at a chademo charger half way.

Just found this video. Thanks for making it. I bought the same make, model, trim level and model year last May 2023. It only had 7K on it. I have put over 3,500 miles on it mostly locally so far. Love it! I have done one round trip to Charlotte, NC from here in Raleigh. I too have a Level 2 charger in my garage. My round trip was 284 miles but I was lucky to find a DC fast charger in Charlotte about 6 miles from my daughter's home who I was visiting for the long weekend. While her and my wife went shopping on Saturday I drove to the charger, which was at a Mall, and had lunch in the mall while the car charged up. Very convenient. Stopped the charge at 90% which was plenty for the trip home. Now I am considering trying a trip to Hershey, PA which is 400 miles one way. I want to attend an event so there are time restraints and it might be a little too much planning due to limited CHAdeMO chargers along the routes so chances are good I will be taking my truck instead. Guess I will toss the tent and camping gear in the back of the truck and use the hotel verses campsite savings to buy the extra fuel for the truck. 🙂 Hopefully the charging infrastructure will improve for these cars in the future. I jus hope CHAdeMO remains part of it. Unfortunately with the latest news that doesn't look promising.😞

Great video, my question is the EPA rating is calculated going 25mpg on a even road? It seems to me EPA on EV or ICE are never acupuncture? What has been your experience? Thanks for reading!

I think your electric vehicle videos are very worthwhile, particularly for anyone contemplating getting an EV. You are giving viewers a sense of what life with an EV will really be like. The future success of EVs depends not so much on the technology but on public behaviour and attitudes. A location with a row of charge points where people are loitering for 30mins will be a different social experience to a petrol station with say, 8 pumps and an average fuel stop time of 5-10mins per car . Can we all behave like decent human beings or will we be at each others throats when we can't necessarily plug in when and where we want?
