Nissan maxima water in passenger floorboard

In this video i show you how to fix a little known problem with with older 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 nissan maxima. the little gasket behind retainer clip goes bad and allows it to leak into the passenger side floor board but only when it rains. I also have to replace the hood hydraulic, and change out the headlight assembly after my sister kinda hit something and tore off the bumper. 😅 it's a project car at this point. 🤣

I’ll be honest with you I’m not sure if there’s something on the other models that utilize it. Think of it like a car that has a place for fog lights but doesn’t have fog lights. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Wld a Phillips head be a sufficient pop up tool in ur opinion please? I don’t have a neat pop up tool, such as the one you used. However, i’d be willing to purchase one if that would make the process more efficient & practical without damaging accessories. Ur help & video is appreciated.

So I would use a flathead screw driver not a Phillips. Should work just fine the tool I used is only about 8$. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Thanks you man yes I checked the sunroof and I found the problem concerning fron there cause the water is coming from the drive side and drain hole is blocked or something I'm fixing it right now Thank you again for the help🙏

I have a 99 gle and I finale got around to pulling the cal panel and wipers off and it does not look anything like that one in the video. I am still getting water in the footwell on the drivers side. IS there anything else it can be?

Honestly not sure without being able to look at it. Poor water on that spot and just make sure it isn’t getting by. Other than that do you live in a country where driver side is the right side? If so it could be your heater core. Thanks for watching!

@@JunkyardJunkie I live in the US left side steering. I got to thinking about it all and looked on YT to see if there could be a problem with the sunroof. Sure enough the left front corner sunroof drain was stopped up. So I used a 6' piece of weed eater line to open it up. Now the water will run out the drain instead of over flowing into the floor board. Peace.
