A car that I an intensely uninterested in as a car enthusiast, but a car that I would probably be very interested in actually owning, driving, commuting and so on. Great to se a review of it, keep up the good work.

Very interesting video. Ironically, my dad had a 2006 Honda Jazz, and then he traded it in for a 2007 Nissan Note which was top spec with red stitching on the seats, and it was in a striking blue colour. I loved the Note, and I’d consider one myself. They are quite sprightly to drive too, and they’re much less Pensioner esque than a Jazz

we had the older Nissan Note. and loved it. very comfy and lot's of room. the passenger seat lifted up for extra storage. very clever. you didn't mention this with the newer Note. our Note was the n-tec as well and an automatic. very quiet and smooth. a 1.6 engine but wasn't that great on fuel and the road tax was a wopping £200 a year! but i would have another in a heart beat. maybe a manual this time. i like these Notes as well. wish i had bought another now. Our current car.... A Honda Jazz!!! not the new version. very quiet and smooth. great review thanks.

Nice one! Honda Jazz is a great car so I think you would be happy with either :) thanks for watching and commenting 👍

Have owned a Note since 2009 and would not be without it. I have a 1.4 and still runs perfectly on both short and long distances, indeed have been the length of France in it numerous times. Just wish they still made and sold them...I would buy another immediately, without hesitation. The dog loves it too...especially the front arm rests between the seats where he sits waiting for me to come back from shops...much to the amusement of anyone passing.

I have a 2015 Nissan (Versa) Note (USA), 1.6 litre 109 HP CVT. I'm in my 8th year approaching 90K miles. Faultless. It's like an old shoe--fits me perfectly. Sometime I think about getting something more luxurious but--if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I genuinely like this car, I had the 1st gen Note and now the 2nd gen, but mine doesn't have a turbo, so it struggles getting up a hill when fully loaded, but it still gets there in the 2nd gear. Very practical car, tons of space considering the size, a lot of legroom when you dont need the trunk space. I just wish mine had a turbo really. The older one was a 1.4L 4 cylinder, it was like a little rocket in comparison

Great review, and great car (but it is mine so I might have some bias). And "wow" at old pictures of me, I miss our Bluebird events. Still trying to reach that 50MPG though :)

Thanks! Are you talking about that cubby hole under the climate controls? I think I was just using the phone as an example item

It's just sad the UK and europe didn't get the Note e-power, that is a game changer and really the best hybrid out there. You can import an e-power in Ireland but they aren't cheap. I own a 2017 example and it has been flawless, yes it's a little cheap on the build but it is really really reliable. That transmission is the leaf electric transmission so zero issues. Look it up, it's very popular in my country, New Zealand.

Weak spot on these is the slave cylinder for the clutch which is in the gearbox. Expensive repair. Other than that superb car and reliable renault petrol engines. Best was the old 1.6

My sister just bought a white note tekna edition and she’s says it probably one of the best second hand hatchbacks money can buy. Realistically it’s only worth buying a note imo if you can find either an N-Tec or Tekna model

We have a 2016 1.2 standard engine Note. Mainly used around town but has also done round trips from Kent to the Isle Skye, and the Orkney Islands. 4 people with luggage. Amazing leg room inside. 42 - 50 mpg fully loaded with roof bag. If you'd popped the bonnet you'd see one of the few bad design points imo. Air induction plastic covers one of the spark plugs, meaning new inlet manifold and throttle body seals at a cost of £80 ( just for the seals), if you want to change the plugs ( don't ask me how I know 😢).
@JJonCarsАй бұрын
Oh wow, that's really poor design. Imagine in the future when its an old car and you just want to diagnose something by taking a plug out! There's a lot of plastic rubbish in engines now, they have to cut costs somewhere to add all the extra gubbins new cars are expected to have :(

This must have been the best selling subcompact in the US in the 2010s. One year they sold 300k units of these. You see them everywhere. I assume they had crazy deals and incentives to get people into them. For some reason the next gen only came as a impractical sedan. We do prefer sedans over here. But a subcompact sedan makes no practical sense to me and modern small sedans look awkard. Now the Versa sells maybe less than 30k units and will be discontinued next year. It will be the last subcompact to leave the US.

Don't put your foot down, instead change into a lower gear for goodness sake. This is what you would have been taught to do 50 or 60 years ago, when the BHP of cars was often half of today's equivalent! Nevertheless, a good, informative video.

Both yourself and BSJJ seemed to enjoy the Note, wouldn't it be great to see your old Bluebird(s) being driven and reviewed on the channel!
