Hi, thanks for the video! It helped thanks, Although I must say its a lot harder than you made it look, especially when the light is fitted to the car, and your working upside down, back to front and your have they coolant tank in the way, it made it very difficult to change the bulb, but I got it done in the end.

Glad it still helped! But if you watch the first part of the Qashqai videos, you will see that I already stated that there is "limited access" behind the headlight and is very difficult to change the given xenon part on the car itself. I always recommend removing the bumper and subsequently the headlight from the car to replace the ballast/igniter (it is not that hard as you might think, just bumper is bulky and this fact "intimidates" most of us, indeed it is easier than you think, just removing 8-10 bolts/grill - especially if you have someone just to hold the bumper while working).

Hi. Thanks for a super nice tutorial. I have a question for you. When i have removed the headlight from the car. With the bulb, igniter and ballast fitted on the headlight. Where can i add power from a battery to check if all parts are working? Or how did you connect these 3 parts to a battery as you showed in the end of this clip? (Wiring explained) Thanks again Terje

Hi, is it possible to align the inside of the igniter myself in order to be able to fit it to the headlight housing?
@xenonland2 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. But first put the d2R xenon bulb in place and lock it with the 2 retaining springs on each side. Then align the opening of the igniter. The 4 openings and the plastic ring (white or black) in the middle of the igniter should be aligned. Only that way you can insert the xenon bulb pins into igniter and lock it. If the notches at the middle ring and the openings on top are not match, than you will break the igniter or will not able to lock it. ONly then, at the final stage, you should insert the igniter plug. I hope this helps.
