I was waiting for this! Awesome! So glad you guys explained how they are not the same even though they start with the same platform they are independently designed and tuned and even built in totally different places. Cant wait to see how they sell for Mitsubishi and Nissan over this year. The Outlander just take it to a whole other level and wow they nailed it. We will definitely be upgrading to the new Outlander in the next year say in 2022 and trade our Red Diamond 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Touring with S-AWC on it. Then I think I will trade my Octane Blue 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Touring with S-AWC around the same time but will go with the updated Eclipse Cross as I really like both of ours and the size is right for me. We have owned 5 Mitsubishis now and have just loved each one and have stuck with them since switching to Mitsubishi in 2015. We owned several brands from Chevy, Ford and Dodge but mostly purchased Hyundai and Kia vehicles but switch to Mitsubishi and could not be happier. My family has owned several Toyotas and my Dad just switched from a 2001 Toyota Tacoma he bough basically new and upgraded to a 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SE with S-AWC he bought new in Tarmac Black and got almost $7,000.00 off MSRP so an amazing deal, great vehicle, tons of features, all the automated safety features, dual pano roof and a 10/100,000 powertrain warranty it was just a no brainer. He was hesitant due to all the negative reviews in the USA but after driving mine then purchasing his and having it a couple months now he says too its a total shame the negative reviews as he absolutely loves the way it rides and drives, loves the peppy powertrain and smooth CVT, impressed with all the packed in features that other trims don’t give at that price point, and just the whole overall package. Plus it can tow his small trailer and 4 wheeler as he had the tow package installed from the dealer. The 4 cylinder Tacoma he said struggled and was so slow towing the trailer where as the Eclipse Cross is the opposite.

Would love to see a boxy 1990s Mitsubishi Montero update. I almost bought a Rogue last week, It ticked every box except one. I decided to wait on the Pathfinder for one reason only - ventilated seats. I live in Arizona and for the money I need ventilated seats. 115F/46C degree summers are no joke. Both the Mitsubishi AND the Rogue don't have it as an option. *sad face* Had the 2013 Pathfinder Platinum for 5 years in Mexico and never had one problem with it. The Ventilated seats were a life saver in the Mexican heat. Love your videos; you guys are for sure the most pleasant and informative duo in Automotive reporting. Kudos.

I currently have a Mitsubishi (2010 Lancer Sportback) and I'll probably be getting a new car in 2022. The Lancer has been very reliable and was a good purchase. The only thing holding me back from getting another Mitsubishi is that shrinking dealer network. When I bought mine there was a dealer in Sacramento. There no longer is and there is. A city of a half million people (and 2.5 million in the metro area) should have one.
@tomtalker20002 жыл бұрын
You guys didn't touch on THE BIGGEST difference between the two. And it's the off road modes the Outlander has that the Rogue doesn't. It also has higher ground clearance then the Rogue.

Hey Guys .. great comparison vid but a little misleading on the warranty. The Nissan is 3/60 and 5/100 on the power train. The Mitsubishi is 5/100 and 10/160 on the power train only. Mitsubishi is definitely ahead of the game on the warranty for sure but the 10 year is powertrain only. Most will mile the warranty out before the 10 years anyway but definitely a great warranty which shows they stand behind their vehicles !
@MrAngelzer03 жыл бұрын
Speaking of warranty. Is the Mitsubishi 10yr only applicable if the vehicle is serviced at a Mitsubishi dealer or privately as well? Assuming both are maintaining the correct specs and recommended scheduled maintenance.

What a great review..I'm actually impressed with nissan and wanted to purchase when we move to the U.S soon. But suddenly i saw this video comparisson and the outlander catches my attention.I love mitsubishi, for i owened a 2016 mid range specs pajero here in dubai for the past 5 years and i love my pajero.Trying to look online if the pajero is available in the U.S market but unfortunately it's not.. The outlander is kinda a small car for me now, you know, i've been driving my pajero for the past 5 yrs without issue at all and i love this SUV, love the size ,the built ,the engine etc.Anyways, Talking about the interior of both rogue and outlander, i love 'em both, but what makes me chose outlander is because of the 2 extra seats at the back yea, It's not that spacious but i can still use it for kids for a short drive at least and longer size over all compared to rogue.And what i love about outlander is the warranty they offered and the wheel size, they have a larger size 20" wheel with a beautiful alloy mag wheels if you chose the highend specs, at least i have an option for that, and i love big wheels. So for me, in my opinion and yes, i will purchase the outlander soon..Although outlander could be a little bit expensive comparwd to rogue, not sure about it, but i think it's worth paying for..Salute to you guys..Cheers

I like your reviews a lot but this one gets a thumb down because you completely missed the most important topic for this comparison: the AWD system. Mitsu has quite a reputation for having a good AWD system but now that they use the same platform as the Rogue it is as bad as the Nissan system??? This is a huge miss in your review.

For my taste, the Rogue is a much better looking vehicle. I don't need or want a 3rd row in a vehicle so for me, the Rogue is the choice. Mitsubishi doesn't have a following around here, and past vehicles have not been very good. I'm also not a fan of 20" wheels. I currently have them on a Nissan Murano, and would much rather have 18" wheels.
