當年家中有一台MR2 Mk1及 FORD - SIERRA RS COSWORTH 4dr FR (225hp),MR2 同飛雞就無得鬥,Cosworth 就有得玩,當時的技術都是大Turbo,Turbo Lag 非常嚴重,起步會輸給的士, 在街上見到對方就有得玩,因為飛雞較輕,起步會贏Cosworth,但2波後,Cosworth會追上,而飛雞有一個外號叫直路狂,彎路亡,有一次在井欄樹,同架飛雞跑,一個彎位,我一拖波入彎,見架飛雞無收,就在出彎擺尾撞上路邊,四CUP落地。

@@tt-nm4yj Long time ago… You know Nissan's wheels…famous of Poor Steering!! Just only show us the good one in the Circuit for test drive. There's no complain Today if Nissan sold us the wheels were very well Once Upon A Time.
@@tt-nm4yj i also heard the story about nissan "tweaked" the car just for the show. the rest i guess just statistic, since car racing is so popular, accident rate also higher. This can't blame the car, esp there are so much after market options to rectify most major problem Just like Tesla accidents in hongkong, majority is due to stupidity of the driver not the car.
Indeed a family friend Mr Lee was one of the senior managers at the DCH servicing centre in Kowloon Bay till the early 90s and he was telling us almost a whole level of body repair department was filled with the 200sx ( 180sx CA18 S13 in other markets ) bodies from collision and many of them were banana shaped. He and his colleagues were always very weary of this affordable car due to the silly levels of power even stock standard let alone after modifications. Prior to this car the RWD AE86 had a linear NA engine which was manageable by most, the Lancer Turbo rwd was no comparison to the S13 200sx. He reckoned there were faster cars around such as the Porsche 911, 928 etc but they were much more expensive and out of reach of the young boy racers and trouble started when many boy racers who were into street racing in HK could stretch and afford one and their prior experiences were with AE86 and worse still a fwd hot hatch such as Suzuki Gti or AE92 Corrolla Gti and expect the 200sx to handle and react in the same way at the car's limit.
