Thank you. Great video. Just did mine based on your video. Done in 20 to 30 minutes. 2016 Titan xd with 30k on it. Great truck.

I highly recommend wearing mechanix gloves while working under any modern vehicle. All the thin heat shield metal everywhere has very sharp edges. After 14 stitches a few years back I now glove up and work cautiously.

Very good video. I'll have no problems on mine now. 9,914 right now so am ordering fuel filters today. Thanks for the info!

That thing will continue to drip 💧 it’s low than the fuel tank. Just pull that filter off and get it done. Just loosen up housing and with open pit cock to reduce mess and speed up process

nissan is not conservative with their maintenance schedule. Your filters look good, then be happy. it proves your getting good quality diesel. get bad quality diesel and watch how fast you need to change the filters! mileage schedules are based on averages of use and quality of fuel and oil.

You’re right on the filter. But, if you ever have a warranty issue, that’s a way they can deny the claim.

My Water Sep Drain never stops draining.. unless I ensure I am below 1/4 tank or less... this guy can do it anyone can. He does not even know common tool language. Or obviously what an inch and eighth 6 point socket is.. no problem he still got it.
@irishsavage87155 жыл бұрын
It’s actually a 28 mm socket, And it doesn’t have to be a hex pattern it can also be a star pattern...And regardless of what the warning light says you want to prime the system at least 20 times
@Lumpia_In_Texas5 жыл бұрын
I heard you have to prime it at least 50 times, do 20 jumping Jack's, and pray 20 hail Mary's.
@d0colb5 жыл бұрын
I just prime it 3 times and then crank it

Really thinking about either getting this truck or a ram 1500. What’s your comments on the truck? Any dislikes?
@Lumpia_In_Texas6 жыл бұрын
Justin Howell Both are good trucks and you can't go wrong with either. That said I would personally never own a FCA vehicle. I'll make a video about my top dislikes. Thanks.

That valve DOES NOT drain the filter housing! It’s strictly to drain at collected water if your WATER IN FUEL light comes on. The housing will ALWAYS be full so just remove it. Saves time and wasted fuel.

Last Man Standing , The man issues I've had and noticed are the Third brake light cracking, ECM/TCM updates, seat heaters not working properly, and alignments. I had 4 alignments in under 5,000 miles before calling Nissan Customer Service and they sent an Engineer out who replaced the steering box and pitman arm.

What do u mean by brake light cracks? I have a 16 xd and noticed a few months after I bought it that it I noticed it had a crack. I showed the dealer and they wouldn't replace under warranty. Have they been replacing for free?

You can. You might have to prime it several times afterwards.

@Lumpia_In_Texas7 жыл бұрын
I haven't changed the oil myself since Nissan was giving away free oil changes for 2 years when I bought my truck.
@dtarin117 жыл бұрын
Cool. Do you know how much the oil change is? I got quoted $520 for fuel filters and oil change. Thought it was ridiculous. I’ll just change my own. Thanks again.
@Lumpia_In_Texas7 жыл бұрын
$520??? Oh hell no thats a ripoff!
@andrealutz31857 жыл бұрын
I changed my oil myself the dealership did the first one free, so I had an issue taking old oil filter off it was extremely tight, K&N makes oil filter for this truck and it has a built on nut to easliy remove with socket on your next oil change, it takes 10 quarts of oil, so make sure you have a large oil pan. The skid plate bolts were hard for me cause I do not own a impact
@dickmerc34166 жыл бұрын
I work at a nissan dealer ship we only charge 209.00 i know still seems high and 90 for an oil change i know still kinda hight but way better then the quotes you guys got.

Dealers make more money on services than selling actual cars,Why?...some people are just too lazy to learn how to do it,and then,they want to complain about how expensive the service is!

Dealerships are not ripping people off. They are businesses and have to make a profit too. If you don’t like it go to school and become a diesel technician. Convenience costs money.
@Lumpia_In_Texas6 жыл бұрын
Austin Shook I don't need you to preach. This process literally takes 10 minutes and parts are only 70 bucks. Yet dealerships charge over 300 dollars for this service. THAT IS A RIPOFF.
@PoPofan986 жыл бұрын
Still don’t agree but everybody has an opinion. Maybe if you worked in the industry like I do you’d understand why the rates are what they are.
@d0colb5 жыл бұрын
@@PoPofan98 it's a ripp off especially when the same dealer charges about $70 for the oil change an filter.... I was told $230 just for the two fuel filters . My semi truck PM with 2 oil filters + 2 fuel filters 11 oil gallons + lube starts at $250 ~ 300 tax included .
@irishsavage87155 жыл бұрын
Can always tell a diesel nube by the frequency in which they slip up and say gas instead of fuel or Diesel....good review otherwise...the dealership is ripping anyone off, if you agree to the service you agreed to pay, Diesel mechanics bill out at no less than $80 an hour and the dealership has their markups... if you are being charged too much for anything then all I can say is stupid games win stupid prizes. Put a rag around the filter engine mount and you won’t spill diesel everywhere and if you lay a trash bag flat under the 1st stage you wind spill diesel on your driveway.
