The Nitecore TIP2 is an updated version of the original Nitecore TIP. The original is a great key chain flashlight. The TIP2 has added some nice features, such as TWO LED's and a magnetic base! It's also USB rechargeable and includes a micro charging cable. The TIP2 is also twice as bright as the original TIP.

Thanks, I was a bit wary about pulling the end cap - didn't want to break a new light - the illustration was not exactly clear that one just needed to tug or how hard to tug. ;-)

Great review, and its even more awesome then i expected. Clip is not bad imho, i hate the stiff clip on TUP. Best edc flashlight, maximum portability. I wear it mostly asa dogtag on a short chain. Its still improveable anyway. Buttons are small so no way to press by accident. I slept with it at my neck more then once. So buttons should insta activate it. Maybe next. Magnetic tail means that when im in the wood i can stick a knife in a tree and attach the flashlight in any position to the blade. Not my ideea, but im using it. The worst thing is the price. Most fishermen i know are too cheap to buy such a gem. They prefer crappy 4-5 euros flashlights.

To my knowledge there is no way to disarm that because it would be way too easy for it to activate inside a pocket.

Hello there. When I put it in turbo mode it works for 1 or 2 seconds and turns off. It does not work for a long time. How can I solve the problem?

Thanks for the question. Turbo only works for as long as you're pressing the switch. So, are you saying that when you press and hold to activate turbo, it only stays on for two seconds regardless of whether you release the switch or not?

@@Lightsngear Yes. I press and hold the Mode button, it works 1-2 seconds in Turbo mode and switches to low mode. The battery is fully charged. I just bought the lantern.

I wish I could advise you technically, but even though you say it's charged, I would try charging again with a different USB cable. If you haven't done so, give the mode button a quick press while it's off...just to check battery power. If it's absolutely full then obviously it's faulty and the only recourse would be to contact the place you got it from, or Nitecore.

The clip on the Tip2 is very good. If it's in my pocket, the clip secures it.
