"Bootstrapping allows you to stay real" - Loved the statement with emphasis on how metrics are blown up with the 'next billion' narrative of India.

Key takeaways, - It's okay to spend time to sharpen your axe before you cut the tree. It's good to learn different skills, figure out whom you'd want to work with, familiarize yourself to the industry, before making the decision to start up. - Timing matters, but you have to do all the hard work to reap the rewards when luck arrives. - Raising funds shouldn't be the end goal, it can be a possible way to fuel your business, but serving capital comes with its own downside. - What's the benefit of bootstrapped? You have autonomy and freedom. You can be nimble , transparent, and play the long term game because you don't have to pay interest/returns to your financers (because customers are your only financers) - The First 10k customers are hardest to get. - Anything that doesn't benefit the customer is just short term thinking. - Metrics can sometimes distract you, so choose your metrics very carefully. - There's a thin line in being known as passionate or foolish. Feel free to comment if I missed something important :)

The First 10k customers are hardest to get. Very True. I feel its about believing in the idea we have and to start working over it and then just keep working. Eventually it will have a SnowBall effect someday down the line. Thank You Kunal Sir & Nithin Sir for putting this out. I hope CRED's youtube channel turns into something like the Y-Combinator youtube channel. This might not blow up, but this is priceless knowledge just sitting here for people to come and consume.

Amazing how he runs a business with the thinking of a retail customer, and emphasises on values like trust, good karma etc.

Very curious to see in future how kunal is creating multiple monetisation models on top of distribution of CRED. The type of users that CRED has access to has consuming power. They are most probably going to print money in future. Kunal is applying the hypothesis behind cult formation behind the creation of product. Great things to learn from this person.

Core points : You can't survive bootstrap in an e commerce platform . Keep bootstrapping your buisness , cause there is no tention of return of money by potential growth etc. There is a very thin line between passionate and foolishness. If it works out people call you passionate if doesn't they call you foolish . Money is not matter when you are reach. Do things that you love and make something with the people whoom you know from long time. Making co founder is like marriage. You can't start a startup with just a new and random idea . First you have to know that buisnes first . If you are open minded ideas will come to you . Don't start it just for you have got an idea. Do research . Thank you 😊
