That's not a bad idea at all, like leather Armor you could craft yourself that offer protection and maybe Kevlar as a new item to reinforce Armor and repair them, giving Armor a new sort of modified durability and survivability, and maybe a Full Body Ceramic Kevlar Armor, that be lit

Ive taken a full ass shot of 7.62x54r with an assualt helmet to the face with a visor and only was brought down to half health like 2 years ago. Dunno how mutch it changed but the helmet was pristine and but the visor was ruined or badly damged. I also got one shot to the chest by 7.62x39 from 5 feet away thru plate carrier. Ruined the plate carrier when i found my body but everything else was pristine

Recently they did change a bit, for instance bullet damage takes into account how far away you are, so you actually take a little less damage the further you are away (bullet velocity slows). The assault helmet both with and without the visor protects your whole head AND face. So they visor is just cosmetic at the moment.

Thanks a lot for the help. Just wanted to know how much better a ballistic helmet is to the firefighter helmet. It's actually quite a lot and could save my life. Well I had to ditch my stylish firefighter outfit at some point. Better be alive than fashionable.

Shotguns are so underestimated and often underpowered in most games. They laughed at me back in A2 mod when i preferred the shotgun with pellets and slugs then stopped laughing when they saw how effective it was.

@@damndanieI That's most likely the case. You were not in effective range anymore. 25m is the maximum effective range for the gun with pellets. 50m for slugs. You can still engage targets beyond that range but with severely reduced effectiveness. I hit a guy who was stalking me with pellets from 20m and he immediately fell.

If the ballistic vest and stab vest are the same, are the stats for both of them currently the press vest version where it offers all 50/50/50 protection or is it both the stab vest version 50/50/30

My understanding when I looked at the in-game files, Both the Stab Vest and Press Vest offer the same exact protection, but the Press Vest just has inventory space.

According to the wiki it states that it does offer some extra protection with the extra mods. Sorry did not test it here though. If I where to guess, it'd be the best of the skate/biker helmets, but not as good as a mili helmet.

Yo man this video is really great so thank you but I just had a question to ask incase you knew as I couldn’t find anything anywhere but do you know if the wielding mask is any good at protecting you from bullets or is it useless? All I’ve seen is on the wiki it’s got way higher shock and damage reduction then the military helmets and things like that but I’m not sure

I have not tested it, but think the number you are looking at on wiki is actually flipped from what you are thinking. So if it says .25 for combat helmet, and if you see .75 for welding mask helmet, that's actually less damage taken for combat helmet.

I have been hearing that too. When I was testing on a character at full health and pristine Plate Carrier, it was 2 shots = ruined Plate Carrier and the player was still alive but heavily injured. My results might not be what you get though. Big thing is though, the new update coming out is going to change a LOT of damage values and penetration effects. It's likely I'll have to remake this video soon. I'll release a new one in 1.12.

Good question. In my experience, yes, they do matter. A plate carrier can save your life big time. The helmet's hitbox actually covers your entire head including your face, so it is actually really helpful. That said though, a high caliber round is going to do damage to ya no mater what you wear.

@@Nitno It is! "The SP-6 (СП-6) has a hardened metal armor-piercing core. It can penetrate 2 mm (0.079 in) of steel at 500 meters or 6 mm (0.24 in) of steel, 2.8 mm (0.11 in) of titanium or 30 layers of Kevlar at 200 meters. At 100 meters it can penetrate 8 mm (0.31 in) of steel or GOST 3 body armor, while retaining enough power to inflict damage to a soft target behind it. Maybe the developers should try it out in practice? Just to fine-tune the stats 😱 I'm pretty shure it is a serious punch to the chest, even with military grade protection. Anyway thanlks for the effort you put in that vids!👍
