@woogienitro Spring Branch is also a Houston suburb on the northwest side. That's why I was asking. I got a lil excited because I'm interested in getting into nitro. Right now, I'm just doing a lot of research and gaining all the knowledge I can before I make my first purchase.

@woogienitro as a newbie to the hobby, I'm considering the savage xl 5.9 and the jato as my first two options to start my collection. What's the best one to go with as far as being the easiest to break in, and spend the least fixing? My main goal is durability, performance, and speed... in that order. I'd rather spend money upgrading/modding before break in to prevent spending more from extra damage that could've been prevented. I apologize for the lengthy response... and thanks in advance for and advise you can give

Love the intro man. The mini Lst/mini lst2/mini monster baja is my favorite mini. I think it would have been the best 1/18 mt ever if it wasn't for the drivetrain being so fragile. It was a true MT unlike most 1/18 monster trucks back then like the mini quake, rc18mt, etc that was basically a 1/18 onroad car with minor changes to make it an "MT".
