I'm gonna be honest - I feel like you've played a major role in bringing Kao back. It was never a problem to sell him on the home turf but he never really went global. I'd love to see you take a look at Dead By Daylight for this Halloween or just when you're going back to do some horror. I mean it is BEhaviors BIG hit. Yeah, the A2M guys struck paydirt with an Asymmetrical Multiplayer Survival Horror game. And it is genuinely one of my favorite games ever.

It's also a case of them doing an original IP while also flexing how many licensed IP connections they've built up during their time as a b-tier kids game developer. Never will their be a better glowup than going from Drake & Josh on the GBA to one of the most popular multiplayer games of the past console generation.

Such a neat review. Kao got justice with this game and kept it's charm most of the way. So cool. Also, that Blinx doll on your shelf is awesome.

So happy to see you enjoyed it too man!!! I remember talking about the autosave stuff with you on Twitter, hopefully patches roll out soon if it hasn’t already but I’m still blown away by the love this team gave to Kao. Still having a blast and that ending speech you gave summarized it all, cheers to 3D platformers and the underdog!!! What a return for Kao

Funniest thing about new Kao, for me as a polish person is that the biggest polish gaming outlet gave this game the lowest score in the world XD The review was pretty funny too - the reviewer described Kao’s story as an anti capitalism manifesto…

Keep giving one more round to the little guy, Nitro Rad! You’re the best cornerman any small platforming mascot could ask for! 😁👍🏻

II couldn't got It perfect, but I wouldn't called It worst either, but more mediocre at best attempts to retell Itself as a reboot rather then a true continuation and sadly the Hunter from the first 2 games Isn't here either. I would compared It to Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time when It came to cartoony expressions, executed storywise, or even the presentation but that'd be too good for It, even on the art on the boxart looks almost close and wouldn't be surprised he got that form Bubsy being an Imitation of others. As for the voice cast themselves; I'm nothing against them since some were some Poland and not too much Australians like Ty did with his crew, but personally I would've swapped out KAo's voice for Luke Youngblood' Mitch William from Glitch Techs or Justin Briner's Deku from My Hero Academia.

In 2019 the Polish gaming community started a campain called Bring Kao Back. They wanted a release on GOG and possibly a remaster. We górę loads more, personally I have never played Kao as a kid in Poland, but he is dear to other Poles. Now we hope that characters from cartoons we watched as children will get a chance at games as well. Great vid.❤️

Wow, your channel is great dude, I didn't think there was someone like me who also likes platform games so much and always seeks to justify them with positive aspects. I don't understand how KZbin didn't recommend your channel to me before, but hey, since I'm subscribed now, I'd like to recommend to you three great and forgotten platform games that I haven't seen reviews on your channel, and which I consider underrated: Mushroom Men The Spore Wars (Wii), The Kore Gang (Wii), and I-Ninja (Gamecube).

The original iteration of "Kao's neck stretches underwear" I found ...funny, but more of a 'nervous laughter' type deal. It felt more in the realm of developer trolling than cartoon slapstick, which is how I think of "Kao can stretch his neck hanging from wires." The fact that they turned the quirk into a _move_ transforms the vibe from "oh the game engine kind of just. does that when you touch water" to "kao chose to bend the laws of biology to achieve his goals." And the combined physicality of that x the tail whip x hanging from his ears... that is freakin *rad.* Reboot of the year
