i'm a vol firefighter i am also mentally disabled with ADD i was at a friends party his roomate was drunk. he was making threats to me all night. when i was just about to go home he punched me in the chest and i fell to the grown. he also has a long criminal history it happen saterday and my chest still hurts thinking about going to the doctor.

Wait I had a question so I have a 2nd degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon but no one was harmed but the person who called the cops said I pointed it at them what would happened

In NJ, simply pointing a gun at someone is a 2nd-degree felony regardless if no one was harmed. The "act" of putting someone in "imminent fear" of danger is classified as a 2nd-degree felony under the law. Call our office for help: 201-766-4800

@@MidwestLB make sure you have a good lawyer, the prosecutors won't budge, go with a jury trial, DO NOT TAKE A PLEA DEAL, if it was self defense and your legal to ccw, Jury trial all the way, you stopped the threat.......you will win!!!

Can’t let it get the best of you thats terrible dude. I was at a club and walked into the bathroom and I saw my girls ex bf and he asked who I was and we’ve exchanged words online before and I said I was the guy who’s been fucking with his ex and his buddy was in there too but he knew me so I thought shit was cool and then the ex bf goes ahead and tired to blind side me when I look away and I reacted and it fractured my finger I got evidence and I’ll seek to win this case only thing kinda bothering me is that his friend might try and side with him and it could leave the jury to decide what to believe But dude thought it was cool to blind side me imma have to blind side him back with a charge

My wife got drunk and was mad at me ,she fell in the hallway and split her head open on the door moulding ,I tried to take her to the hospital, she would not let me so I called 911 and told them what happened ,and the police showed up .then arrested me ,then got charged with 2 b felony's and a c felony ,it was an accident on her part because she was drunk, I have been with her for 35 years I love her more than anything in the world ,I would never hurt her, this mandatory arrest law is not right , I'm in Oregon and those are measure 11 , mandatory 5 years and 10 months min,there was no intent ,there was an injury ,but I did not do it , it was alcohol that caused the injury
