For months whenever I would let go of the trigger it would keep going for a second or two. It was very frustrating. And today it finally just wouldn't stop at all until I turned it off. This video was exactly what I needed. It took a few tries readjusting but I finally found the sweet spot. Now it's working perfectly. Thank you so much!

Something I'd like to add is one of the reasons my sensor wasn't working properly is because a bit of debris from microfibers and maybe a little oil had built up on the little copper looking pieces on the sensor causing the copper pieces not to fully connect with each other. I had to loosen the sensor and spread the sensor legs a little bit and then use a piece of cloth to wipe the copper pieces off. I hope I explained this well. I noticed quite a few people saying their gun was still not turning off even after adjusting the sensor. So I'm betting their sensor just needs cleaned as I described. I hope this helps someone. And the gun I'm describing is the AK-I. The gun in this video has more of a silver looking little metal pieces on the sensor instead of copper looking just so I'm not confusing anyone. And one last thing I also noticed if I tightened the screw too tight that it would cause the the copper looking pieces not to fully connect.

I jusr noticed that the yellow wire going to the little iron on top of this sensor just jumped out. I put it in place and everything worked.

Hey Margot, Yes i think most of the red button guns don't even have a sensor, if i'm correct. I don't know how they do it.

Hello! My tufting gun is shooting really fast, do you know how to control the speed in tufting gun. By the way i'm using the cutpile version and it doesnt have the sensor like yours. Please help thankyou!

There should be a speed control next to the cable outlet. Anyhow if yours does not have a sensor, it is a different type or a copy. Loads of companies are copying the original but with small differences, so I'm not perfectly sure how yours works.

Hey James, you can cut them loose and resolder them into place. If you don´t know how to do it an electronics shop or Musicinstrument repair shop usually can offer you that service.

Hi I've tried all these methods and they work Great, but my gun seems to turn on and off when I tilt it to the right or straight up and down, once it tilted to the left it goes and light stays on. But once I turn the other ways it turns off. Help !?!?!

Hey Rico, sound like your cable is broken. Unplug your machine and check if you can find a cut, unscrew the handle and check if you need to reattach it properly. Send us an email to [e-mail] if you need a new cable part or more help. Jenni

You can solder it back on. An electronics shop might be able to help you with this.

Hej Michael, if you got the tufting gun from us please send us an email with your ordernumber to [e-mail]. You will of course get a replacement. If you did not buy from us: - When you switch on the main switch is the red led light up in the back or not (if no, it can be the adapter or the main switch. Hard to tell. Both spareparts are coming to the shop tonight.) I'll link them once they're up. - If it lights up it might be a broken motor. (will also be up in the shop soon) Anyhow if it's a new gun i would recommend contacting your seller for a replacement. Let me know if you need any more help. Jenni from Tuftinglove.com

I adjusted the sensor but the gun still remains running by itself. I fact it stops with the scissors out and not in normal position, what else could i do?

Keep readjusting. I kept readjusting with no luck so finally I had to readjust mine while it was running to find the sweet spot. It was a little dangerous but it worked.

Do you have bought your gun from us? You should contact your seller for sure. A new gun should work!

I unpacked a red button gun yesterday that has this problem but this model does not have the sensor on the side that you adjusted in your video. Any ideas?

Hey KC, I never had one of these tufting guns with the red button, so I can't really tell. Did check if the trigger is just stuck maybe? Thats also a common issue. You send me a video to [e-mail] and we will try figuring it out.

​@@yarelimendoza8989 hey, i was able to fix it so it doesn't go without me pressing the trigger. If you look at the back of the gun there is a small hole with a cross shapped dial inside. turn the dial in either direction little by little and test the trigger after each turn to see if it stops malfunctioning. The only down side i have is that the scissors do not reset back to the original start position after releasing the trigger and there is a high pitch sound it makes when the gun is on.
