I use gun oil, lucas gun oil to be exact, and it works super smooth

What about the bearings at the ends of the top and bottom adjustable shafts?

You should not need to lubricate these. We haven't recognised any wear on these. However if you maybe did not clean the gun after each use, finer might get stuck there and produce some friction. Then of course you can give it a small drop.

Does the speed of the gun effect detail

no, it's more the speed of us tufters :) If you are fast enough to react to the speed of the gun there is no effect on detail.

WD 40 is not a lubricant, don’t use it.

How many hours a day can you use a tafting gun, so that it does not spoil quickly?

I've never had problems with it get ''hot'' or something and I often tuft the whole day. the important thing is that you have the settings correct and it runs smoothly and you maintain it properly.

I recently purchased my tufting gun and in the middle of a project the gun starts beeping. Is there anything I may be doing wrong?

Hey Joshua, Either something got stuck somewhere (turn it off, move it by hand and free the stuck part) or you did not maintain your machine properly. Always clean after use and lubricate the rails with the white moving block every now and then. The beep comes from the motor that is not able to move anymore.

@@Josh-pz6kl Anything that is making things flow better/ actual lubricant. Don't use sewiwgmachine oil, since this is made for the small gears to grips better into each other. And we want exactly the opposite of that.

@@Tuftinglove I used sewing machine oil and it wasn't tufting very good. tufting quality went down big time. I took the machine apart and cleaned it all and now going to use wd 40 after watching your video. hopefully that will make it work better. thank you for such an informative video!
