Great job! So you finished 9th in both 2021 and 2023, must be your lucky number!

You're welcome Thomas! Congrats on your strong finish! I did not want to go too far into the red and not be able to recover properly, so I let a gap open up at that point. I maybe should have gone for it anyway. I made up the ground after a couple miles, but was doubting if I could hold that pace for the remainder of the race. That decision caused me to be alone the rest of the race.

@@NathanLong yeah I had to go into the red, and might have touched into the black zone there. 😵 Great race, great result, amazing improvement.

Great ride, Nate. We were up there biking from the yurt at the same time. It was a beautiful day.

Thanks for posting! I was rooting for you as you suddenly re-connected with the lead dogs, but the pack was just playing tease. It didn't seem fair once you found someone to work together before OO, they had other plans.... Bummer you had to do so much solo. For me, it became an internal game to keep the HR on the fine edge of yellow. Next time, take the coke!

Thanks John. I should have only ran one water bottle as I consumed less than one the whole race. Could have dropped 2lbs of weight with that and would have likely helped on all those hills. lol

@@NathanLong not to mention that go pro! No way I could’ve gotten that go pro over all those hills. 😂
