Organised by The Railway Touring Company, three Dorset Coast Express trips ran between London and Weymouth.
Originally book for steam haulage throughout, a series of unfortunate operational reasons lead to U class No.31806 being unable to work the return leg from Weymouth to Southampton.
With no steam for the leg to Southampton, a class 47 would have to be used, until Bahamas takes the train from Southampton back to London, via the Romsey and Andover line.
This video covers all three trips and is centred around locations the New Forest, as 45596 powers through all weathers.
