Thanks for posting your videos and It’s nice to actually see someone bringing the reality to light regarding the non existent do all rifles, which was one of the first things that I also came to terms with shortly after becoming enthusiastic about the AR. I think it all comes down to what’s ultimately practical according to the individual and their overall circumstances. It’s all up to the individual to find that practical balance, and the critique or demands from our counterparts aren’t going to assist us in the most critical endeavors.

Amazing video man! Thank you for covering the URG-I. You are absolutely right, there is no such thing as a do-it-all rifle. You need to analyze your needs and priorities and build your setup off of that. and hey... who says you have to only build one AR?

I have 14.5 RIS 3 ambi. Everything is great, except safety. Both sides are same length and in rush, 5 times out of 10 it hangs on my finger when I disengage safety with my thumb, gonna replace it with shorter one on right side. Also up front there is a lot of mlok slots, but you can’t use then. There is metal thing around gas block, that doesn’t allow you to screw mlok flashlight or sling attachment point. Screw gonna dig into that metal. Not huge problem just sth to think about when planing what to put where
@pyramus79587 ай бұрын
Yes its ambi I swapped the trigger to the geissele ssa-e and replaced the stock safety selector with talon 45/90. I wanted to run a suppressor so and didn't want to deal with the pin weld stuff. So I opted for the 16in over the 14.5.

14.5” barrels suck for civilians because the flash hider or suppressor has to be permanently mounted to bring it up to 16” plus to be legal.
@timowens72147 ай бұрын
No you can run a 14.5 without a pin and welded muzzle device. You just can't put a stock on it. Now if your state doesn't allow AR pistols then sucks for you.
@montanaplease7 ай бұрын
14,5” with no stock at all would be gayer than David Hog though
@montanaplease7 ай бұрын
And this rifle in this video would be considered an SBR
@IronInfidel7 ай бұрын
So how does that suck exactly?
@montanaplease7 ай бұрын
It sucks because a permanently mounted one and a half inch plus muzzle device limits so much because you’re stuck with that muzzle device unless you unpin it. Yes, there are certain muzzle devices out there. You can use that allow certain quick detach suppressors but again now you’re limited to that suppressor and that system instead of being able to just unthread 1/2 x 28 and put whatever you want on there. And for what just to be able to, have one and a half shorter barrel ? Unless your special and part of the alphabet agency or non-civilian then yes you can have a barrel below 16 inches and get away with it but not for us measly civilians. Or you can put a “ arm brace” On a 14.5 inch un threadable barrel but now you’re limited on what “ stock” (arm brace)you can use
