Thanks aunty for this video. Everything you said is very true. I live in the UK and my husband and I do the house chores together. If there are dirty clothes in the laundry basket, either of us will put in the washing machine same as bathing the kids and picking them from the school and it makes life so much easier. Big hugs aunty. xx

I'm very lucky that my husband is very domesticated naturally. Hes always been that way he says and he also admits that it is not traditional for him to be that way. And if we were to build a house back home people should not see him in the kitchen at all or they will talk about me as a wife. I'm American black & white mixed... It has been very interesting being with a Nigerian man for almost 20 years. I'm still learning the culture little-by-little but I have very much enjoyed your videos.

If in England most of the African men don't help their wives to do little domestic work and help in regards of taking their children to school and also pick up the children from school is very bad. In US majority of the African men help with domestic work most especially with the issue of child care. Most of my none Nigeria co workers do praise Nigerian men in regards of helping with the children.

My sikista, very true. I believe both parents should equally be involved. Although in fairness, I do know of a lot of Afro-men who do all those things you said like pick up their kids, drop them off, occasionally cook or shop etc, just to relieve stress of mama-bear ;). However, like you rightly said, a lot of men, particularly western ones, may not necessarily be as involved with the kids or cooking etc, although this also varies from case to case.

I don't know which African country you are from but I'm guessing Nigeria. In fact, I'm pretty sure is Nigeria. I agree with some of the points you've made especially helping the wife with domestic chores when they are in the west. However, most of the African men that I know of in the west married to African women do that exactly. In fact, my late father was a better cook on some dishes compared to my mum when they used to live in the west. Also, when my father moved his family back home to set up his business back in the 70s, he was the one who used to take us to school on his way to work and back from school after work. My mother was a housewife. I know of many African men from the older generation as well as this new generation that do that.

Wow... The way you are talking, clearly there are some miserable marriages out here.. This mentality is soo archaic and cannot be carried with such strict boundaries outside of Nigeria. The simple fact that women here work just as hard/more and earn just as much/more than the husbands should instill common sense into the man that he needs to help with some domestic responsibilities. How can you say you truly love your wife when you're just sitting down not contributing to anything. I've also heard of these useless men who, because their wife is a nurse, will sit down and be feeling ok being useless and not work. The first thing God assigned the man in the Bible was to work, even before he created Eve. How can you as a man feel ok with yourself sitting down at home while your wife is waking up at odd hours, working crazy 12-16hr shifts and then you want to demand sex and food and expect her to carry the domestic responsibilities? You are a demon, and her father did not intend for you to enslave his daughter when he gave her to you for marriage. Shoo...Being single is not bad at all, and it's 1000x better than being in some of these miserable marriages with selfish African men. Thank God for the good African men who truly love their wives as Christ loved the church. They deserve all the good that life has to offer...

Men are not crazy, if d lady do what she supposed to do d men always help! As a woman of d house.....when u know d time ur husband supposed to be home, keep his FOOD warm and ready, exchange warm greetings wt smile!! By d time he finished eating trust me d man would help u wt d remains! Some ladies are taking chores and kids care as a big deal....in obodo oyinbo! U hv everything within ur reach, WATER, LIGHT, BLENDER, WASHING MACHINE etc.... conducive environment! 🤞🤞i was a house wife for 8yrs..also in control of our bank acct!!! But doesn't mean they don't exist don't be delusional if are lucky to have a helper partner but your partner or family males are part of od the 1 or 2% Most African men are not helpful whit the partner because I've seen them a lot so you need to know that. Not everyone are lucky
