I agree - many of us use our fingers to apply makeup at home - too frugal to buy brushes. Like Dominque said, they accumulate a lot of makeup (waste) AND you need special products to clean the brushes! (Another expense!). Fingers are always with us!

I actually love this softer look on you. It is more natural, can truly see you right thru, see the real you. Wow! Love that you took the challenge. Love that I can now see the true shape of your face, you are beautiful as you are, without all that heavy makeup that changes what you truly look like. I hope you never go back to contouring with heavy powders and brushes. Please teach us all women that we are beautiful just the way we are, all some of us may want is hide a few flaws, enhance some beauty spots, that’s all.

I went back to using my hands/fingers a while back for simple & quick day looks. Like we did in the 80s :) I still use brushes for hittin' tha' town and a glam look. Great job!

For a future episode😀: After hitting perimenopause I've gained 20 pounds with no change in diet or exercise. Something I'm finding extremely challenging is feeding two teenage boys and restricting my diet. If there's any way you could host a dietitian that specialized in high protein, low-sugar, lower-fat meals and snack ideas for the whole family, it would be such a blessing.

Speaking of hands - yours are lovely. Perhaps a tutorial on hand care and especially hand repair. Sometimes it looks like our hands look older than our faces even when we are vigilant about using sunscreen on the backs of our hands all year every year. Seems once we hit the half century mark the aging accelerates. Ideas for care, repair, and "interventions"? Would love that. PS I really like the brow and shadow look very much indeed, soft and feminine. Nice!

Loved this! When blending your shadow, go the opposite way so your nail is on the lid but the tip of your finger, the pad, is nearer your inner corner. Just change direction!

I use my fingers to apply foundation and move my palm edge in a circular fashion to blend my check contour and blush. My 92 year old mother matches her blush color to her lipstick by using her fingers to dot the lipstick on her checks and then blends with the fingers.

I have always used my fingers. I’m only 67 and I have tried using brushes. But I find using my fingers do a better job. You did a great job, and you are beautiful inside and out! Stay as nice as you are, and try using your fingers more often. Sending blessings your way. 🙏😍❤️

Hi Dominique, I think you did a wonderful job on applying your makeup ,just using your hands, I still feel that applying your foundation with your hands gives you a smoother application because the warmth of your fingers really pushes the product in, and at 57yrs of age I need all the help I can get,also a good face powder helps ( hot flushes).
