NO CHEATING RECAP should become a standard. I always find it funny when people ask players questions in interview segments, such as: "Why didn't Ding/Gukesh play the "xyz" move in this particular position?" Of course they would never have thought of it themselves without the engine, but by askin these questions, they put the players in an uncomfortable position while pretending, or hoping, to be perceived smarter than they actually are, naively thinking no one will realize that their questions are actually suggested by the stockfish. Even their creativity in journalism has been replaced by the engine. It's just sad where all this is going, but it's good to have an alternative like this here!
@gunnersg27002 күн бұрын
i don't know why you think that the interviewers think that nobody thinks that the moves are engine moves. To me, it seems likely that the interviewers know that everybody knows that the moves are engine moves. Still, i always appreciate and pay attention to such questions, because we get insight into the minds of the players. For example, we learn that in game 3, Ding missed the engine move 23. Ne2. Kramnik agreed that Ne2 isn't an easy move to see in advance, and showed us why he still thinks 18... Rh5 is very strange. So, both the human and the objective perspectives are very interesting

This is a fantastic series. Chess commentary has been destroyed by engines. Commentators have become complete zombies to the engine. Human analysis by a strong player is much more helpful to the average viewer than computer lines.

Mr. Krmanik, I believe Ding is playing very well, but he is not pushing for victories. I don't understand why. On the other hand, Gukesh is in a below level than we expected.
@whitegoldsilverКүн бұрын
Yes again a very constructive Analyse without engine help. And thanks for your opinion at the end of the video. As an amateur, I think now Ding Liren‘s team knows that Gukesh is beatable in positional chess. Game 6 Ding must win. And most probably with 1. e4
@ethanguo4219Күн бұрын
It's clear ding's strategy is to play boring chess to bait gukesh and threaten to go to tiebreaks where ding is 120 elo higher rated

Почему Дин в позиции без риска не мучал Гукеша еще 20-30 ходов? Завтра же будет играть белыми и можно соперника, так замордовать что в следующей игре он может играть хуже...
@RockyMoonyКүн бұрын
All the other commentators I've seen so far do their analysis based on engines. So far that's fine. But many of them criticize the players strongly because they don't play the moves of the engines in crucial situations. In my opinion, this kind of commentary is simply disrespectful to the players.

Hello, Mr. Kramnik. It might be easier for viewers to see the position if the variation arrows did not appear. They can be turned off by clicking the hamburger button menu in the bottom right and unchecking "show variation arrows", but whatever your preference, it is an option. I am enjoying watching your coverage of the match!
