lol…my old trick that’s worked for me any many others I’ve shown is literally just take care of wax and wax the augers…keeps the snow moving through, I also wax before and through the shoot and it makes 10x of a difference. Give it a shot

Will post a follow up video for sure. The LED is bright enough for me. I rarely snowthrow at night. I always do it in the day time. But i have very high quality sets of headlamps (that go on my head) to choose from when i do night ops of any sort. Video come soon covering this topic.

Never had snow stick to the Auger shaft but it builds up between the side Augers and the Accelerator Augers and the blower effectively becomes a plow, and not a good one...

I just use toro power clear single stage.... Never had any problems and it gets down to the pavement.

Sorry, but bro me it seems as though it’s a waste of time and money. I’ve been running my Honda’s for over 35 years and to me it never has been any big deal. Snow sticks to the augers, too. I would like to see the follow up, maybe you can convince me to do this, but at this time it’s a NO. Thanks

My immediate thought is that one of those plastic pieces would break, jam up and get throw out of the chute like bullets. I would rather spray dry lubricant like PTFE. I never had snow built up problem on my Ariens.

why are some rotating??? and some are not?? if snow starts to build up how would they rotate?? because wouldn't the snow start to hold them down,why not have them tight on the shaft so they are always rotating??

They should be loose and rotate independently from the auger shaft. Its going to be hard for snow to stick when theres adjacent paddles moving and breaking it up before it accumulates. But yes waiting on some good heavy wet snow to try these out and video them in action.

It looks like the theory is that it just breaks up the surface area to make it harder for the snow to find a continuous area to stick to. There isn't gonna be any kind of real force behind them.

Nope. It wears off too quickly and the auger eventually clogs up as you are using it. I’ve tried silicone over the years in all kinds of wet snow with the same results.

An impeller kit is like the closest thing to injecting steroids into your snowblower! Will never clog and throw significantly further! Installed mine 10 years ago with stuff I got from tractor supply, but the kits are available on Amazon

Not sure the purpose of this. I’ve never had snow stick to my augers….ever. I’ve put rubber on my impeller trailing edges long before it was a thing. Like a lot of guys here I’ve sprayed silicone in the auger tub and find that it works pretty good. Like a few guys here I’ll wait for the follow up video with the actual snow results. Till then I’ll remain very skeptical…….my 2 cents

I wouldn't do that, auger speeds vary and are generally VERY FAST, your attaching crap to an auger, running at potential letal speeds, thoes are going to come loose and damge / injure or maim. I doubt ANYONE is going to be checking tightness if these things after every run. This will ALSO invalidate your warranty and expect to be sued into the stone age if any of that comes loose... A lot of instructions say.. "do not modify this tool as it can cause injury" I'm all for upgrading and hacks, this is foolhardy beyond belief even if it does work

From a Honda snowblower manual.. I'm also no physics buff but adding stuff to a rotating axel/axis is going to effect balance and cause an imbalance or issue, so just dont "Never tamper with or alter any of the controls or safety devices on the snowblower. Tampering is a violation of Federal and California law. Failure to properly follow, maintenance instructions and precautions can cause you to be seriously hurt or killed.

Sorry but auger spins very slow. If done correct those flaps should not rotate, if you actually paid attention to anything i said. You are thinking of the impeller. Do you have any idea how man people put impeller kits on machine that are out of warranty. Probably tens of thousands a year. And who cares its my machine. Mod at your own risk. Get off your high horse bud. Real men modify their snowblowers.
