If you're 2 stage snowblower can't throw wet snow, you need to install an impeller kit. That will launch the snow much further and minimize chute clogging.

we have a single stage snow blower and does fine in heavy wet snow yes bogs down but I don't just keep going in allow time and do it in stages ok. you can spray oil so the snow wont stick as much but if it does get plugged easy solution is to bring the snow thrower back to the garage get a heater or a propane heater that is design for out doors turn it on and wait you should see results pretty quickly especially if you have a fan that can force the warm air into the machine and it will also warm up the garage also . any time you warm things up the clogs will come out. if you are far from a garage quickly unplug it depending on the temps it will freeze up.

You're going to immediately destroy the gears of your snowblower using this. Strain the engine. Wear the tires faster. All sorts of issues. This is not a new design, and not a smart design. Would you put a plow on a Toyota Prius? Leave the plows for the proper machines/vehicles made to plow.

People make the mistake of trying to get through too much snow too quickly in one pass, which bogs down the machine. You can only put so much snow through that chute at one time. If you dislike the performance of your current snowblower, you'll have to take a step up to a bigger machine or higher a professional service.

This is a solution in search of a problem. I love the part where he asks how to use it and the guy replies "just let the snowblower do it's thing". You mean blow the snow out it's chute? That's its 'thing'.

Like he explained, the wet snow gets clogged in the discharge chute and when it does discharge it just basically plops out because it's so wet and heavy. Takes for ever and doesn't work very well and you end up shoveling. This would push that wet heavy snow out of the way instead of needing to shovel it. Those that commented positively actually have snow blowers and have used that extensively.

If you don't activate the auger the snow blower already becomes a plow and the wheels instantly lose traction this idea "Blows"

This is not a good idea to put on your 2 stage snow blower. On 95% of 2 stage blower the axle is driven by a drive friction ring. A rubber ring that presses up against a metal disc. Whenever the blowers wheels have to much torque applied to them, the rubber ring slips on the metal drive disk cause wear to the rubber ring. Using this product will result in wearing that rubber ring prematurely into nothing. And if the operator doesn't notice it. It can permanently damage the fricton disk. If you want a walk behind plow, there are specific machines with the proper drivetrains to handle that strain.

Snow blowers are mostly useless unless you have several inches of snow. If you only get an inch or two of snow, a plow is usually better. At that depth, you really aren't putting any more strain on the drive train of a snow blower than it would normally see blowing 6 inches of snow. I wouldn't try to bulldoze through 6 inches of snow with this set up though. You'd put a big strain on the machine.

By the way, i havent clog the Ego once yet..... ill be honest, if i ever buy this and use it, most likely it is very little snow that i just want to push aside then running blower. If i have heavier snow, i rather run the actual machine than this.

Did clog on my EGO's single stage & 2 stage 24" only a few times but so did my neighbor's 26"/28" or 30" $5K gas snow blowers. Good so far on the 28" ;however, I can see it for quick 0.5" snow/wet snow removal just using the wheels silently especially after midnight or extremely early morning after a overnight snow fall to get a head start clearing the snow while keeping the operation silent.

Just get a snow sled shovel. Clear up the hard parts and then plow the rest up.

First it's a battery powered snowblower. Gas powered have more torque power. Heavy wet snow will require commercial triangular wheel system for better ground grip. Chained round wheels might slip. If the chute gets clogged then their are other issues. I've owned a 12 HP gas powered. It's going on 25 yrs. Tecumseh Snow King, Noma Performance model.

I know my dad's was always breaking and had issues with the throwing and it was never good in this type but we still made it work out. He's just a business man making money. A more suitable machine would be one made for it like the snow bull

I'm willing to bet that most people will find that this won't work worth a darn. The whole idea of having a snow blower is to remove the snow by throwing the snow away from the driveway. All this is gonna do is make an ever growing pile of snow that will take up space on your driveway. Just like a snow plow on a truck . . . Eventually you will have an inconvenient pile of snow!

Have you ever actually used a snowblower? It doesn't throw the snow very far when it's wet1. Dry snow it just blasts into the air, wet snow only goes a few feet. I live in Minnesota. Every year we get a lot of snow and use the snowblower on our long driveway. Not long into the season both sides of the driveway are stacked 4-5ft high. And when the snow is real wet it constantly clogs the discharge chute and needs to be cleared. This would be used to push that wet sloppy snow that the blower doesn't handle very well.

It isn't meant to replace the snowblower. It is useful for times when the snow is too wet for a snowblower to throw snow. It is also great for slush and an inch of snow or so when it isn't optimal for a snowblower to throw.

​@robbyvoigt6042 I have riding mower with a blade to use for wet snow but even it will only handle a small amount. Large amount of wet I use an old mtd blower and go real slow and have to stop to unplug discharge

Not sure where you get your snow in Canada but the stuff we get in Southern California in Big Bear Lake would laugh at this thing. Only time this would work is if you are out in the storm while it is coming down. What a waste of money and time.

If snow is heavy, I guess the best option is using the actual blower. I have the EGO too, I'm thinking to put it on just for small amount that is too much for hand, but too little for running the blower all the way.

I am just imaging now... 5:00AM~6:00AM after a overnight snow fall... Connecting the dog lash to my waist... Pull out a new EGO 24" or 28" 2-Stage snow blower with this attachment on it loaded with 2 x 10 or 12 Ah batteries... Turn on the headlights and the handwarmer... Walk the fresh snow path without any footprints on the regular 2KM dog walk path while clearing the entire path in silence with earphones on and listening to music or audiobook while the neighborhood is till in peace and quiet.... Not a bad idea!!! Just even last week with .5" of snow that the snow blower would not be effective to do the job this attachment most like would do the trick so my regular dog walk path can be cleared out fully but it ended up to be a messy footprint path for a week do to dropping temperature and neighbors that did not clear their sidewalk.

@Jeo-What I would just use a shovel or Ego bristle brush for 0.5" of snow.. I added wheels to the bristle brush to make the job easier.
