Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis is closing in on a world title shot, but first, he must defend his home turf. The lightweight contender and U.S. Olympic silver medalist will face Argentina-born puncher Gustavo Lemos in the 10-round main event on Friday, Nov. 8, at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
The undercard will feature the other members of “DB3.” Keyshawn’s older brother, rising junior welterweight Kelvin “Night Night” Davis (13-0, 7 KOs), fights Yeis Solano (15-3, 10 KOs) in an eight-rounder. Keyshawn’s younger brother, U.S. Olympic Trials champion Keon Davis, will make his pro debut in a four-round welterweight contest.

Keyshawn is extremely comfortable and calm in the ring. He doesn’t look pumped full of adrenaline, even when the action picks up. That’s going to be great for his stamina and make him very dangerous countering guys. He also has great toughness and competitiveness to go with an elite skillset. Have to see what that chin is really made of to know how good he actually can be.

Another late stoppage. The cornermen must have their licence taken away or temporarily revoked. Professionally, they must be held accountable for not throwing the towel when Yigit had had it enough. Truly, they should be held accountable if Yigit joins the leagues of Gerard Mc Leland or that of Kim Duk Koo in South Korea. What a shame indeed.
