I came across strawberry freezer jam and LOVED the color from seeing freshly picked strawberries. We don't have the climate for strawberry picking here in northern Texas and it is unreal how red your freshly picked strawberries are and how the are so red throughout the entire strawberry. They look DIVINE! Just made my first batch of the jam so here to hoping it turns out well!

I have plenty of strawberries in my backyard. I decided to make some strawberry freezer jam yesterday. I am eating some right now, and it is delicious!!! I used 4 cups of sugar. I also measured the berries after mashing. Does your pkt require only 1 1/2 cups sugar? I wanted to use less sugar, but I was afraid it wouldn't jell if I used less. Wow - your powder really thickens a lot!!!

Hello Christine, I have made your jam and you are right it is the best ever. I am having a hard time finding the Club House powder. Do you know where I can order it. Thanks

Hi Christine! I love strawberry freezer jam. I have had a couple of batches that the sugar has not dissolved well, any suggestions for that?
@AmidstTheChaos5 жыл бұрын
Hi Linda, hmmmm....I don't think i've had it where the sugar didn't dissolve. Have you mixed it thoroughly and let it sit for 15 minutes? What I sometimes get are clumps if the gelling powder if I mix it in too quickly...so then I try to break it apart with my spatula. I'd try mixing it a bit more and then letting it sit! Hope that helps!

How long does it last in the fridge if you decide not to freeze?

Christine, your jam looks super yummy. Where do you buy or order your No Cook Freezer Jam packets from?
@AmidstTheChaos5 жыл бұрын
Thank Stacey! I bought mine at Superstore in Canada (not sure if you are in Canada or the US?) I've seen them at Sobey's before too. You may have to look around for them but you'll find them!

@@1018Stacey Oh ok! I didn't know where you were located. You know what...I think Garden Fare might be only available in Canada!! I just tried to find it on a US site and it wasn't coming up! Can you believe it...something we have that you guys don't?! It's ALWAYS the other way around! LOL! If you want to try some, email me your address and I'll mail you a few packets so you can try it (for real)! My email is christine@amidstthechaos.ca

If you buy all the pectin in the store, that leaves nothing for others!
