The sunroof rattle sounds like what I had in my A4 Avant! It was just two zip ties to fasten these fatigued clips attaching the "follower" to these pins on window mount/chassis. I would put it all back together but the pin kept popping out. I can't believe I improved a German engineered part with zip ties 🤣

I had a B7 RS4 in Daytona Grey with the titanium package, which was not a titanium color btw. It just gave you piano black trim instead of carbon on the inside and blacked out accents on the outside plus a darker greyish rim/s. The 4.2 kind of reminded me of my 2 stroke mx race bikes, you had to have them on the pipe/revved out to get any power. Same with my E92 M3 when I had it. I did love that RS4 and the only issue I ever had was the carbon build up. Had one friend who also had one and it suffered the suspension issue that ended up being a recall. One of the best Audi cars imo and it looks/looked fantastic. Congrats on your new wheels.

I love my RSlow4! It’s so much fun to drive. It’s not the fastest car by any means. I could get walked by a most new cars in a straight line but that’s not what the car is about at all. It’s a great backroad car. It loves to rev and stay above 4K all the time. You actually need to beat on it a little to help with your carbon build up. If you have any questions I’d be happy to help! Definitely worth it and enjoy it man!

I've got a C5 RS6 in Daytona Grey (that I also won at Auction, BAT though in my case). Super reliable as the BCY engine was made with a partnership with Cosworth. Had it for over a year now and only had to change oil and brakes. Florida car as well. Had the water spot issue, used a water spot dissolver that worked pretty good, but nothing beats a good clay bar and wax. Good content! I'll be watching this one for sure!

The problem with the intake flaps is not the flap itself but the little screw that holds the flap to the linkage. The screws back off and fall into the engine causing massive damage. This is why most people de-flap them so that you eliminate the screws (and the flaps).

The flaps itself normally does not fail. It's the electrovalve, beyond the intake manifold which corrodes, if water gets in and then the flaps do not open again. You see a dent in the torque curve for higher RPM's.

The flaps on these cars don’t just cause power issues if they fail, they can 100% get sucked into the piston chamber and write off the engine. If when you carbon clean the car they are still there, then get rid of them. Loads of reading about it, but just leave the linkages in and the car won’t throw up an error code. 👍🏻

Mine grinds a little going into second when it’s cold. The MT90 helped a lot and it doesn’t really do it anymore. I found that if you shift fairly quick and deliberate then it doesn’t grind. If you shift into 2nd slowly and carefully then it grinds. If yours gets really bad then you can use redline lightweight shockproof and that will help. It’s rough on the brass syncros though. It’s sort of a last resort fluid change to get some more time out of it.

for the sunroof. is there any sort of wind deflector or bug catcher on the front half that it pushes down on that prevents it from closing? i had a mini cooper S for a while, put for sale, wouldnt ya know it woundt close the day of the sale. After they left i looked around and came to that conclusion while searching videos. Soooo me and my brother popped off that stupid ass deflector that pops up when you open sunroof and voila it open and closes perfectly. The deflector had a giant and THICK spring and it was warped a bit from the heat, so it didnt want to close. Check on that and take out deflector if there is any. Afterwards i hit up the people that drive over and hour away,, agreed to go a bit less but they wanted more.. well lesson learned, i lost 400 bucks because i felt bad they came out so far (almost for nothing) as well as noticing such a stupid issue that arose and it cost me, i figured whatever, at least they didnt play games and came with cash
