Hi sir! I’m here in Gustine, CA My truck is 2015 Freightliner Cascadia working regularly but last night I was parked but can’t start in morning. It’s showing accelerator pedal problem detected with code SPN 91 FMI 8 But I did replace new kit pedal complete with sensor but code still on board. It’s not cranking and not starting.

Have the same issue currently, swap the shifter, not it. Swamped CPC not it actually CPC in mine is brand new. What would have been your next step of troubleshooting???

What was the difference in the symptoms between the TCM going out versus the shifter going out?

So the way we’ve been able to catch it is by plugging in our laptops and reading the codes. Either it gives us a code for the gear selector or we notice that our program doesn’t connect to the tcm. Another possible way might be by trying to engage the Jake brake and seeing if it will cycle through with the gear selector

Frist thank you for posting the video I got Freightliner DD15 with manual shift. I changed the Sam Cab fuse box and still having the problem so now I have try the CP4

Hello. Have almost the same problem. Freightliner Cascadia 2016 Auto. The truck won't start the tractor's ABS light is on and the DEF light is red no check engine light. The dashboard screen does not show the transmission message and the screen just stuck with Underscore marks.

You will need to connect a computer for diagnostics. Possibly a bad ABS sensor and a bad DEF pump

@shreqboi1 I hope not the CPC down because I replaced the CPC last year 🙏 I was trying to do something that may help I discount the battery cable red and black for 40 minutes to see if the lights go but nothing happened the same problem still. I sprayed the ABS wires and connectors using an electronic spray but the problem still did not go away.

@@MahA-pr7kr check the DEF pump. If it’s full of crystallized DEF might be clogged, maybe a dirty filter

@shreqboi1 @shreqboi1 Do you think there's a way I can start the engine? Because I was trying but no engine started. I can hear the crank starter working but no engine fires up I have a good battery I was also doing jumping cable but nothing happened but I'm sure the battery is good I just need to move my truck a little bit. By the way, The DEF tank has a little bit over one-quarter.

Cpc module. I have the same problem. . Mine is a 18 it went out before. It was that module before. It broke down in my parents yard. Today it happens again now I no what it is. Don't put air I'm the tank a waste of time. It this happens to u 95 percent it's that box. I will get me a spare

I agree, I’ve heard they have a small battery inside that goes out on them. A good electronic repair guy should be able to fix them

if the original cpc is programmed for automatic transmission and didnt crank the truck ,,, then u put a cpc from another truck that is programmed for manual transmission it will crank the truck but wont move it or throttle ... so make sure the shit controller in the transmission is working as it's not receiving air ... i had this issue today ... its all about that part and rare times its the shifter that you swapped

Correct, but I swapped two cpc from two different trucks with the same engine, transmission, both were 2016 and similar mileage. Thank you for your input 🙏🏽

I'm having a similar problem right now. The CPC4 module was stolen, they cut the wires. I reconnected the wires and bought a new module from the dealer. They programmed it. But the trac won't start because there is no communication with the transmission. The dashboard shows dashes where neutral should show. Checked all the fuses, wiring, everything's fine. What could be the problem? Is it that there's no air in the transmission?

@kushtoff yes this exactly what happened to me but before I change the $3400 part I let a mechanic check it on the computer ... sometimes it be the in cab Trans shifter ... I highly recommend a professional to check it on the computer as it will give him the exact code for the damage but 99% it's the shifter actuator that's attached on the transmission body
