well, the starter is one thing...I have one of these 2016 velosters and I have head good luck with mine to this point. Today I had a issue with the remote key not detected but replaced the battery...but these cars are coming up for a recall on stalling/engine fires...the solution a new engine...free on hyundai...not sure how I feel about that. Notices supposed to go out end of Janruary and they will inspect car to figure out of they figure it needs the engine swap...

I just got the free engine for my 2016 veloster turbo from the dealership, Then they said I need new radiator, got new radiator, then they said I needed new coil packs. Ok got them, went back today to check on my car ( they have had my car since Beginning of April and today they told me, your chassis wiring harness is done, you need a new one and want to charge me 5700 dollars for parts and labor. And then the car will run perfectly. Nope I'll put my car on a tow truck and bring it home. Keep in mind my veloster only had 28 thousand miles when this mess started. Money doesn't grow on our trees.

People don't understand frustration unless it's happening to them. He's just venting and I understand that because this is my current situation and I it towed this morning (the fourth time). All of his issues is not the problem. Dealer doesn't even know. Not the starter or battery. We'll see...

Currently in the same boat except, mine cranks just wont start everytime & my power steering keeps going out. I just got the car, It ran like a million bucks then just out of no where it started idling 400rpms over & making weird noises then when I came to a stop it would stall & die. I dunno what it is, please help

I have the same problem my car was sitting for while but they started up for me once every week then I thought it was starter took it to local mechanic they said my engine seized what should I do pls help

Take the serpentine belt off and try to start it. It's prob a seized pully, ac compressor or alternator.

⁠@@peterl6095 I’m having this problem I’m taking it to the dealership for a second opinion if it is a seized engine do you think its worth letting them fix it or just get another one. My I add I only wanna get a second opinion because I do get oil changes and I was literally driving the car and it just shut off while driving so I just can’t believe it could be my engine what do you think?
