I've been here since the beginning of the Sailor Senshi Princess videos with Serenity and was introduced to GKs that way. I was amazed by Leona's skills and creative problem solving and have been here since. (The SPU are my comfort videos.) One of the things that Leona has worked at in addition to shining a light on an niche hobby is framing it for the female gaze. The most obvious example of this is with the release of the UsagixMamrou Honeymoon kit; but her videos have ALWAYS been for the girlies, intentional or not. The use of pastels, gradients, holo-pigments, giving figures manicures and pedicures, adding crystals/rhinestones, using glitter in place of white paint for some of the eye highlights! Even using a nail dremel to sand things down, it's so girly and beautiful and I love it. It's also very on brand with one of the themes of Sailor Moon: how there is a power to feminity and how impactful it can be. And you may be sitting there reading this dissertation thinking "oh my God, they're just anime resin molds with some fancy paint. It's not that deep." I probably am reading too deeply into everything, but watching Leona has made me want to create again. It inspired me. And for that, I'm grateful I found this channel. Thank you ❤

Honestly Leona, I started watching a few years back because I saw your sailor moon video and naturally I'm a moonie so it got suggested to me because I watch doll repaint videos (I know the difference don't worry lol, but the algorithm brought your video to me). But ever since then, watching more and more of you, I've come to love your channel and you as a person. For a few reasons. Not alot of content creators do such long form videos and I really appreciate something that is longer that 10-15 minutes just because they want to make that 10 minute mark. The idea to make the sheer parts like glitter organza was SO good! And love love LOVE a good candy coat! You know what else I love? You! Yes, your personality, fire/enthusiasm, telling things like they are even when that involves the best kind of sassy realism, and of course love the huge amount of tips we can learn when watching your videos on resin kit construction and painting! For the record, I would have been happy with the hook villainy nails, but I'm obsessed with almond shaped nails and now wear that style for myself on the regular. My artwork had almond or long oval for years now and still does, but it was only as of recent I finally decided to grow my own nails out to shorter almond because I still need to be able to type at least somewhat and do crafts without the fear of them breaking. For one, how could you hate on anyone who’s giving you their time and effort in giving you some advice towards a complex hobby? This is the only person I know that does in specific detail towards making these kits. You’d be an idiot not to take a few notes from her. I love your videos because they put me right to sleep (in the best way, I always make sure to go back and rewatch what I missed). In all seriousness, there’s something captivating about watching an artist who’s incredibly skilled. I watch you for the same reason I enjoy nail art, diorama, doll repaints, and a ton of other kinds of videos. As a fellow artists, I’m always interested in the process and learning new things I might be able to use for myself. I mainly work in textiles but you never know🤷
