Supepuper awesome video you should try to make some rod holders out of thick pvc tubing i made my own all the way here in South Africa and they work supper grate and they can't rust and also they are supper strong

Lil tip with the flapper discs,don't use them on sharp edges.It tears them up quick,a hard wheel is much better and won't catch and send the piece flying...not as often anyhow...lol Also,the fumes from the galvanizing burning when welding is highly toxic.

Soak your galvanized electrical tubing in vinegar for a few days. After that wire brush it good and you won't get the zinc poisoning from welding on EMT.

I weld for a Hobie, I do weld at work also . Shielding gas makes welding so much easier . A tanks not that expensive and lasts a very long time when done for hobie work

AW-ZUM az alwayz... make it out of 1-1/2 by 2 tube and cut it out like you did and weld another nut on the tab and bolt through to make it clamp on for little added extra security running down the lake.. either way, its gonna a bigger fish than the rail will..
