Oleg Cassini was a clothing designer. He dressed Jackie Kennedy. Like many designers he got into housewares in the late 70s through the 90s. I have found that when a single is difficult to move, pairs and graduated sets do go quickly.

I love the chicken too but it reminded me of the one that used to be on Kellogg's corn flakes a long time ago. I remember when I was a kid and my mom would say that's the Kellogg's mansion when we would be driving on the freeway. Not sure where it was cuz I was little but I looked it up and it said Santa Ana but anyway needless to say the chicken reminds me of the chicken from Kellogg's corn flakes.

I was just down there during 4th of July week visiting with my aunt and uncle. I went thrifting at all of these places. The VIM just moved locations so that why it looks so new. There is also the Arc which tends to be a bit pricey and St. Mary's This or That.

Omg! We thrifted at Etc & Vmi on Friday! ‘Must have just missed you. I looked a few of the same pieces you did! Lol. I think I got a little Spode candy dish at Etc and a flat iron for myself at VMI, but I’m sure my husband got something too that I can’t remember right now. There was a great thrift store, Sherry’s Closet, in Somers Point , NJ that we hit going out of town that had a lot of great finds if you are still in the area. She was having a 50-60% off sale and bundle deals.

That Restore is good but the other two down this way STINK! There is a town near Cape May called Woodbine and there is a placed called Capt. Scraps and it is a treasure trove! Totally worth the trip there!

The town where you were thrifting is Cape May Court House, not Cape May. Both are in the southern most county of NJ and the county is also called Cape May. Just in case anyone looks for those stores

Now your shopping my area. Be sure to go to Yesterday Past in South Dennis in Cape May County. Looks small but it's not. Full of stuff. Also stop by the Arc in Rio Frande. So check the two Goodwills in Egg Harbor Township and Hammonton. The Vintage shop on route 9 in Galloway. Place is extr large and everything you can think of. Red white and Blue thirfth on 73. My favorite Carnival in Glassboro. It's amazing! TheDapperDarcy

That little face vase is actually made of a type of ceramic I think. I have three of those and they came in a set of three I bought at a thrift store here in Australia They originally sold for about $70 for the set.

that oleg cassini piece may have originally been a clock and not a votive holder. The center hole would have held the clock face, battery, etc. Many crystal companies make similar (Waterford, Mikasa, etc). I'm sure you've seen them. Something to check out anyway.
