Six weeks in the middle of flipping nowhere and minimal personal care (if someone was on their period they got first shower dibs so it was often the case I washed in sun-heated water from a local stream stored in a plastic tank) meant no matter how many elastics I had, I could never find one when I needed if. Note: For thick hair, try not to wrap your hair too tight around your finger/hand. Also, you can do two bun instead or until you get used to doing it. Most, if not all, Indian learn to tie their hair this way. When I straighten my hair, it won't stay in a bun, so I put on a hair band after tucking in the tail end &/or a decorative mini claw clip at the tail end to secure the hair in place. This way the bun will definitely last longer.

But after hearing from other people how they adored the softness and silkiness of my hair, I started to see the good sides of my hair and am at peace with it now.

@Emiko08079 ай бұрын
@@bbbean Well, thanks but I just cut it short. I need to wash my hair in the morning because if I sleep with freshly washed hair, I look like an exploded pillow the next morning. And short hair is so easy to dry. Also the high humidity for like 4 months doesn't really go well with long hair but it's okay ish with a short haircut. And when I had hair long enough to probably do that style, my hair worked like a warm silk scarf. And each morning my neck and hair was soaked in sweat. I tried braiding for a while to keep it out of my neck at night but you're busy when you work and have small kids. Not to mention unwanted weird waves each morning. So short hair works best for me.

@Est.4_14 what a waste of time this comment of yours is. Sure itd be great if everyone had freedom to do what they want but due to colonisation and white supremacy, the voices, discoveries, traditions, history and many other things from non white countries are silenced. Or not given importance. This makes it quite easy for white people to steal or seem like they were the only persons to discover something that has been done by many people of colour for many years. Its an unfair system and calling it out is not spreading hate or gatekeeping but in fact bringing attention to ignorance and history of non western countries/cultures. People should be allowed to respectfully try all kinds of things from other cultures or add it into their life. But its shitty when white people or people who have more power and privileges (such as big celebrities, big companies, those that have generational wealth and etc) take things away from others and claim it as theirs. Many artists have also stolen from lesser known ones in the same way, making it seem as though it was their own original idea or never done before, even if it had been. Unintentionally or not, claiming it as their own original idea without research or acknowledgement of people who regularly do this, is shitty at least in my eyes.

If you have shoulder lengrh or longer hair and cant do this, keep practicing! Ladies if you dont think its serious just imagine if you had to fight for your life without a hair tie! If you get good at this you cam do it in less than 5 seconds. Only wrap around 2 fingers and make sure you get the entire bun through the loop. I like to give her a lil wiggle after i get the bun through.

it’s really simple! Just push in the middle like a button and pull on the outer ends. So the opposite of this video 😅

Solid bun but i got 2 choices. Either i stay with the bun forever and struggle with washing my hair, or cut it off completely. 😊

Btw you can do this with mid length hair, I do it in the shower all the time if I'm not washing my hair that day or I'm letting my shampoo and conditioner sit in my hair for a few minutes

This has actually helped me so much bc I love buns but my hair is so long that I can’t do them without them falling out or looking like bobbed ponytails❤

I can't believe you've leaked this trade secret hahah 🤣 I do mine slightly different at the end, I just don't pull it tight (to keep some looseness for my curls), and skip to tucking in the left over bits like you did! Super easy and really good to know if you forget an elastic on a windy day!
