I like that Jennifer Lawrence isn't taking herself so seriously, and is playing free spirted characters. Andrew Barth Feldman has great comedic timing, and he even got a chance to show off his fantastic singing chops.

Thought the title was going to be "No Hard Feelings Is Pure Fun". I went to go see this opening weekend in a crowded theater. This movie had the entire theater laughing and overall it was a good watch. The movie didn't take itself too seriously and I like how it just wasn't outrageous just to be outrageous. It actually had flawed characters and had a coherent story. This gives me hope that R-rated comedies are coming back full swing 😊

This was SUCH a good movie. Literally everything I wanted from the director of Good Boys. It was more mature, it has characters that were flawed, but you ultimately cared about them, and the writers actually cared about the characters too. The fact that they both have full arcs in the movie was beautiful. I love how Maddie’s turning point is when she finally has the chance to get her car but Percy’s too drunk and she cares about him enough now to not ruin his first time like that. By the end, the two don’t get together but they are still friends and he’s still a virgin, which is a good thing, because he can still have his first time on his own terms. I adore how Percy came into his own during the movie and now know that I’ll watch whatever this director does in the future! The movie is funny, has heart, a satisfying story, and it looks really nice too. I loved it!

Agreed, I liked how both Maddie and Percy really grew over the course of the story, and learned from the other. Also, it had a feel good ending, for a sex comedy romp.

@@trinaqWhat you mean you literally sound different, you mention that if the roles reverse the movie would be different. But, I don't think you get what the movie was about. She is not sex offender. The kid's parents offers her a job. I mean it sounds stupid, but it is she cares about the house and the car 😂 but appereantly why can't she be with the guy with abs? No wait its becuase she doesn't want to be with him. Its the first time a woman wasn't sexualize/objectified. I think of them got the reverse role were she change the boy to a man while she spend with him like teenage girl going on a date. You don't expect any woman act like thaT. I mean she brought him to prom, play lazer tag 💁‍♂️. at her age, woman got married, do tiktok and also get a new house. Who fucking stay with a parents house at her age. I mean was she wasn't doing anything wrong. Her actions doesn't justify anything. If roles do reverse men, it would rape charges or if its not, its the girl teen doing it in some movies. 😂
@trinaq
@trinaq Жыл бұрын
If they tried to make the same movie, but make it about a man in his 30s who's hired to help a 19 year old girl lose her virginity, all in exchange for a car, and include scenes where she's visibly scared of this older man coming onto her, then it would be more of a psychological horror. They might have difficulty greenlighting it.

I mean… loosing ur virginity is supposed to make him more of a man. Then the scene with her trying to woo him is sorta just harassment played up for jokes. This is perpetuating a toxic narrative. As a women I don’t wanna even the plain field for these types of movies just leave them in the past. I’d be lying if I said they didn’t get a chuckle out of me in the clips that I saw. Hopefully by the end we at least see a shift in the characters and the moral of the story is that it’s cool to be awkward.
